Research projects

Served as Co-Director then Director of the Executive Selection program of research, designed to provide cutting edge research and knowledge on executive selection to the business and research communities. Served as the company expert and spokesperson to clients, professional audiences, the press, and internally. Managed interns and post docs. Developed, managed, and researched program.

Co-created a survey on executive selection for top level executives, trained professional interviewers, developed coding, managed the coding and data analysis by students and interns, and published and presented results to a variety of audiences.

Co-created a multi-media simulation. Managed product development from conception to launch. This technologically advanced product was successfully implemented into a training program for top level executives to facilitate their learning about executive selection at the same time it was used to advance a program of research. Managed a global consortium of researchers to study how executives make selection decisions, published and presented results to a variety of audiences.

Participated in other research groups addressing geographically dispersed teams, e-leadership, and systemic leadership development.

Start-up

Served as Director of New Frontiers, a program founded to encourage the development of new ideas and innovative approaches in research. Developed and brought program to fruition through the establishment and implementation of organization systems, policies, and procedures. Managed the management of the research, idea communities, and stimulation of new ideas.

Organization and people management

As part of CCL’s management team, created and maintained system-wide policies and procedures. Supported and mentored junior faculty. Managed research associates, post-docs, interns, and support staff. Serve on a variety of cross-functional and cross campus committees.

Training and coaching

Coached and trained for a public middle school leadership team as part of a countywide leadership development initiative. Met with clients on an as needed basis to help design custom training programs.

Proficient in 360° instrument interpretation and feedback; certified to give Benchmarks® feedback.
