Experienced translator specializing in English into Greek and have worked with well-established companies and translation services. Native speaker of Greek with an educational background in Physical Education, business administration and the arts -- including martial arts! Experience in translations of religion, technical texts, philosophy, health, nutrition, advertising/marketing texts, management and subtitling of films. Been an ATA member since 1993.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

Freelance Translator, Loutraki Greece, Denmark, USA or Athens Greece, 1988-present.

 

Working with several translations agencies and companies, located in Greece and in various other countries, including the UK, USA and Denmark. The types of texts that I have translated range from translation of religion to healthcare, educational materials, retail advertising materials, technical manuals, film subtitles, general science, fiction as well as non-fiction.

 

Greek Translator at Applied Philosophy Center of Greece, in Athens, Greece, 1988-1990. This was a contracted job for a limited time.

 

Greek Translator at Translations Unit International, Los Angeles

1990-1999. Worked on translation, editing and/or proofreading of the Greek projects. I also did subtitling (translation of subtitles) for the Greek films.

 

Greek Freelance Translator for Management Translations Unit Europe, 2008-2010. Translation of magazines, videos and periodicals.

2010: Freelance translator for various agencies/individuals around the globe.
