1- In the world of cycling, it’s when the rider lifts their bike, while still in motion, over an obstacle while staying on the seat, with the world record for it being 4 feet. The more famous musical version was created in 1952 at Balboa High School in San Fransisco, and then recorded by Ray Anthony with a more popular dance song, “The Hokey Pokey,” as its B side. FTP name this early line dance, wherein participants conga in line, then do the title action three times either forwards or backwards, a dance that would make Hugh Hefner proud.

Bunny Hop

2- In November 2007, this five word phrase became a popular ringtone in the country of the person who said it. It was spoken on November 10, 2007, in Chile at the Ibero-American summit, a meeting of leaders from Portugal, Spain and the Americas. The incident that prompts it involved Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez calling Spanish Prime Minister a “fascist,” causing the King of Spain to make a request. FTP give the phrase then spoken by King Juan Carlos to Chavez, Spanish for “Why don’t you shut up?”

3- He is currently working as a special education teacher and QBs coach at your TD’s alma mater, North Cobb High School, in Kennesaw, Georgia. After brief stints with the Steelers and Oakland Raiders in the NFL, as well as the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe, he ended up playing for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers before getting a second NFL start for the Indianapolis Colts in 2004, putting him in a position he was all too familiar with. In the end though, he has two things his collegiate and pro predecessor never had. FTP name this former Tennessee quarter that followed Peyton Manning and did something Manning couldn’t do- beat Florida and win a national championship, doing so in 1998.

4- The birthplace of Tom Arnold, in 1982, it was proclaimed by its mayor to be the video game capital of the world. The county seat of Wapello County, its name means “rippling waters,” a clear nod to its location on the Des Moines River. In the 1940s, it was the posting station for Richard Nixon while he was in the Naval Reserve. According to one (fictional) resident in the 1950s, the most famous thing to happen here was when Eleanor Roosevelt’s car was stuck on the train tracks. FTP name this Iowa town best known as the fictional home of Radar O’Reilly.

Ottumwa, Iowa

5- In a 1963 Modesty Blaise comic book, Modesty drives this car, one year before its most famous owner drove one. Years later, a dozen station wagon models were built by Harold Radford, but they possessed a design flaw which made them hard to handle. Sixty five “Vantage” models were also built, as was 125 convertible models, but it was several models with “added features” such as water cannon, front machine guns and an ejector seat that made the car immortal. FTP name this Aston Martin model made famous as James Bond’s mode of transportation in “Thunderball” and, most of all, “Goldfinger,” named after the company’s “post-war savior” and director, David Brown.

A woman, unbeknownst to her, returns to her apartment and watches “movers” move her own TV. FTP name this ad campaign and corresponding website asking the title question sponsored by State Farm.



7- Turning down a scholarship to play at Washington State, he was drafted by his current team in the 7th round of the 2003 draft, he worked his way up at Batavia and Lakewood going 5-16 with a 5.77 ERA. He made his ML debut in June 2007, going 10-4 with a 3.87 ERA while leading his team to its first division pennant since 1993. On February 18, 2008, he received word that was being sent to the Yomirui Giants for a player with stronger fortitude. FTP name this Phillies pitcher who was pranked into believing he was being traded for Kobayashi, the hot dog eating champion.

Kyle Kendrick

8-It was team written for the off-Broadway musical “The Son” by Ross “you know me better from the Chipmunks” Bagdasarian and William Saroyan (yes- THAT William Saroyan) in 1939, but it would never be a hit until 1951, when the singer that made it famous recorded it but secretly hated it. Based on an Armenian folk song, the singer offers guests everything from a Christmas tree, a marriage ring to “figs and grapes and dates and cakes.” FTP name this song, made famous by Rosemary Clooney and the theme song to the E reality show The Girls Next Door.

Come on-a my House

9-The original concept for this restaurant, a bakery, was opened by Oscar and Evelyn Overton in Detroit in the 1940s. Their son David opened the first actual restaurant under this name in Beverly Hills in 1978. Two “express” stores were opened along with the DisneyQuest recreation centers in the late 90s. In 1999, they opened their Grand Luxe Café in the Luxor in Las Vegas, a 24 hour operation where one can still order Evelyn’s New York style deserts. The work place of Penny in “The Big Bang Theory,” FTP, name this restaurant

10-FIRST AND LAST NAME REQUIRED. He’s not Abe Vigoda, but as of the writing of this question (Dec 28, 2007), he’s still alive, only this man turned 88 last June. His brother Phillip was the noted director of the Nureyev documentary “I am a Dancer” made in 1972. He worked in the French Resistance delivering newspapers and refusing to star in Nazi propaganda films. He came to the US in 1948 at the request of David O. Selznick, but later claimed international renown playing Gaston Lachaille alongside Maurice Chevalier in “Gigi.” FTP name this actor later known for his role as Bond villain Kamal Kahn in “Octopussy.”

Louis Jourdan

11-It premiered September 22, 1984 with a two part pilot and ended in April 1985 after only 22 episodes. Centering around the exploits of Daneille Harper, a fashion photographer and Mac Harper, a former Green Beret, the first eight episodes had this duo until Jon Eric Hexum was killed on the set when a prop gun shot the wadding into his skull. He was replaced by Anthony Hamilton as Jack Stryker, but by then, the damage was done. Starring Jennifer O’Neill and using Bonnie Tyler’s I Need a Hero as its theme, FTP name this short lived CBS crime series.

13- The only academically related piece of information we could find on this name was that it’s the name of a town in Sudan when the “a” is replaced by an “e.” The person with the last name Sinnamon was a singer in the 1970s and a Grammy winner for the song “He’s a Dream” from the film Flashdance, as well as the inspiration for a KISS song inspired by her and Bruce Springsteen’s 4th of July, Asbury Park. FTP give the common name, perhaps best known as the first name of Former Miss Missouri, Miss USA and “Quiznation” hostess Finnessey.

14- According to The Dream, she’s a ten. This term originated in Atlanta according to the Urban Dictionary, but the person who coined it is unknown. It also names the first hit off “The Real Testament” by the rapper Plies and features T-Pain, who later stated it’s the new “homey” or “homegirl.” He seems to be the new purveyor of it, because in a song by Flo-Rida featuring him, this person, with Apple Bottom Jeans and boots with fur, goes “low.” FTP give this term which means a sexy woman or a platonic friend and that has nothing to do with the height of said person.

Shorty (accept “Shawty”)

15- Written by Bobby Russell, it replaced “Killing Me Softly with His Song” as the number one song in the US and was in turn replaced by “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree.” It begins with two men meeting at a bar named Webbs when one suddenly informs the other that his wife is cheating on him. The husband, named Andy, grabs a gun to confront them, but finds someone else has already murdered the couple, causing him to be wrongly arrested, convicted (due to dinner getting cold on the judge’s table) and executed by hanging, even though that form of execution did not exist in the state at the time of the song. Originally given the Cher and turned, it was first made famous by a member of the “Carol Burnett Show.” FTP name the song performed originally by Vicki Lawrence in 1973 and later remade by Reba McIntyre in 1991 about a “blackout” in the Peach State that did involve Auburn’s football team.

The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia

16- One town, the starting point of the St. Croix Valley and located across the river from Wisconsin, proudly boasts it’s the “Birthplace of Minnesota,” and was the film sites for both “Grumpy Old Men” films. Another town, the seat of Payne County, Oklahoma, was formed in 1884 and is the home of the All-American Rejects, the game Pente, the first Sonic drive-in and actor James Marsden (Cyclops from X-Men). Two bands share this name as well, one from Warner Robins, Georgia, known for their song “Mindbender,” the other the subject of a Rolling Stone article written by William Miller and the target of Band-aides headed by Penny Lane. FTP give the name that also names the home of Oklahoma State University.

Also sharing its time from a 1977 song by Thundertrain, the video starred the future Mrs. Wayne Gretzky as a woman in the title role and known as Ms Phys Ed. Derided by feminist groups for the objectification of women, it did lead to the creation of the video vixen. FTP name this song from Van Halen’s album “1984” that could have described Vili Fualaau’s feelings for Mary Kay Letourneau.

19- WARNING: YEAR AND TEAM REQUIRED: They began their season with a 17-7 win over rival Moorehead State in front of the largest to witness a home opener at their school, followed by a 52-3 rout by Toledo. Headed by Rick Tolley, they squeaked a win against Kent State, but was 3-5 when they travelled to East Carolina on November 14.
