If these 40-55 year olds have PSA levels below their age-adjusted median, they are unlikely to develop Prostate Cancer (and thus may only need another PSA test in ~3-4 years’ time) In contrast, if these 40-55 year olds have PSA levels above their age-adjusted median, they need to be monitored more closely (i.e. annual PSA testing) ................
