Greenlink Public Meetings for Proposed Route Changes

[Pages:2]Greenlink Public Meetings for Proposed Route Changes

What: Proposed route changes to the Greenlink fixed-route bus network

Why: Greenlink conducted a Comprehensive Operations Analysis throughout the spring. This study's purpose was to identify improvements that will increase Greenlink's efficiency and improve service delivery without an increase in resources. A main recommendation from the report is to make changes to the Greenlink routes.

How: Overall, the route changes will:

- Increase bi-directional route miles, which is when a bus services both sides of the road rather than traveling loop routes, by 62.9%

- Increase opportunities to transfer between routes outside of the downtown Transit Center by 50%

- Offer more efficient, reliable, and dependent service to 98% of Greenlink's existing customers

Who: Contact Nicole McAden, Greenlink's marketing and public affairs specialist, with any questions or comments: nmcaden@ or 864-298-2756

When: Greenlink will host 16 drop-in public meetings to provide opportunities for Greenville County residents to learn about the proposed changes and give input. Once the public's feedback has been incorporated into the proposed routes, the Greenville Transit Authority Board of Directors will vote to adopt the routes, with an anticipated implementation of summer 2018.
