COVID Safe Transport Plan
The NSW Government Policy is that there is no Government requirement to physical distance on group charter services. The hirer will need to consider what physical distancing they wish to use for their group based on their own risk assessment and control measures.
Orange Buslines has provided staff with information and training on COVID-19 including physical distancing, cleaning and good hygiene practices.
Orange Buslines conducts additional cleaning daily on all buses.
• Bus will be sanitised prior to commencement of charter.
• Bus will be sanitised at layover before return journey.
For charter services, buses with high back seats will be utilised where practicable to provide a physical barrier between passengers. Orange Buslines would also like to encourage passengers in the interest of ongoing health of our bus drivers to leave a 1.5metre buffer zone from drivers where possible. A “leave this seat vacated” notice has been placed on buses.
Guidelines for Hirer:
• Keep a list of the group that can be provided to a government authority if requested
• Advise the group NOT to travel if they feel sick, have flu like symptoms or are meant to be self-isolating
• Advise the group to keep their distance from the driver
• Advise the group to always cover their nose and mouth if they sneeze
• Advise the group to regularly use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser that should be provided for by the hirer or the group member themselves.
The hirer is responsible for members of their group whilst on board the vehicle. The hirer should not allow any member of their group to board a bus being chartered if they are displaying any symptoms of being unwell and should ensure that all members of the group follow good hygiene practices.
Orange Buslines will continue to monitor and update information in accordance with NSW Government advice.
