Aims:
• Familiarise students with the different ways that jobs are advertised
• Enable students access information on employment opportunities
• Provide opportunities for students to practise job application skills
• Help students recognise the importance of relating their choice of job to their own skills and qualities.
• Help students anticipate the longer-term advantages /disadvantages of the particular job being advertised.
• Provide students with a basic knowledge and understanding of the difference between gross pay and take home pay and to introduce students to basic employment regulations
• Inform students of the different types of employment available in the workplace including self-employment.
