Nothing could be more exciting than thinking about not dying physically, but rather changing from earth to heaven in the blink of an eye.?Everything seems normal, then instantaneously everything changes forever.?The Greek word for this term "caught up" is "harpazo" which means "to seize, catch up, snatch away by force."?This is the same Greek word used to describe how the Spirit "snatched" Philip away from the Ethiopian eunuch.?"When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord???? snatched (Greek-"harpazo") Philip away; and the eunuch no longer saw him, but went on his way rejoicing. But Philip found himself at Azotus," Acts 8:39-40?Philip was miraculously transported by God, in the blink of an eye, from one place to another. (Imagine him telling that story to his family!)?The English word "Rapture" comes from a Latin word, "rapio," which means to seize or snatch in relation to being carried away in spirit or in body from one place to another. ?Therefore the Rapture of the church is the forceful removal, or carrying away, of Believers from earth to heaven. ?Most Believers living today sense the day of the Rapture is getting close. I think the current generations have an odds-on chance of being in this ultimately famous group if they live out a normal life span. ?We easily see that what was written prophetically about the end of the Church Age is happening all around us! How close we are to our exodus we don't really know. But most solid Believers sense the end of this age could be close. ?Just living in this time period is tough. We recoil when we see perversion flaunted. We cringe when we see sin exalted. And we know the Lord ranks lying up there in the same category as murder. Yet it's commonplace and mostly unchallenged in our nation today.?Woe to those who enact evil statutes and to those who constantly record unjust decisions" Is. 10:1?God Gave Us Prophecy For Comfort? We know the Bible warns of God's coming judgment on sin, but at the same time we're COMFORTED by what we know about Bible prophecy! After discussing the Rapture of Believers, Paul ends with this sentence:Therefore comfort one another with these words ?1 Th 4:18 ? God's promise of the Rapture is comforting because it's His promise and assurance we'll NOT be part of the earth's horrific seven year tribulation, God's horrific judgment on sinful mankind.?God's Purpose for Rapture ?Therefore, the purpose of the Rapture is to close the dispensation of the Church Age and remove Believers before God's wrath comes on earth.?For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Th 5:9?There is also a practical side necessitating the Rapture. Jesus explained that God's Holy Spirit could not come to earth to indwell Believers until He first departed earth.?"But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you." John 16:7?Jesus departed earth enabling the Holy Spirit to come to earth, permanently indwelling all Believers (Acts 2). Therefore now the reverse is necessary. God's Spirit must be removed in order for Jesus to return.?When God removes His Spirit, all who have His Spirit are swept away at the same time..."caught up."?The Bible says others have been "caught up" to heaven in the past. So we can get a glimpse of what will transpire at that moment.?Enoch Was Raptured? The first to be raptured, or "taken up" to heaven before death, was Enoch, who lived prior to Abraham.?Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him. ?Gen 5:24?By faith Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death; AND HE WAS NOT FOUND BECAUSE GOD TOOK HIM UP; for he obtained the witness that before his being taken up he was pleasing to God.?? Heb 11:5?Paul Was Raptured?Paul was also Raptured, or "caught up" to heaven, when he was living on the earth. ?"I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago - whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, God knows - such a man was caught up to the third heaven." 2 Cor 12:2?This "catching away" to heaven left a lasting impression on Paul. So profound was the experience that the Lord had to give him a "thorn in the flesh" to keep him humble back here on earth.?"Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations,? [seeing heaven] for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me - to keep me from exalting myself!" - 2Cor. 12:7?God also forbade Paul from talking about what he saw in heaven, a fact that makes me heavily discount ANYTHING someone says he saw when he died briefly, went to heaven and came back. ?"was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak." 2Cor. 12:4 ?Therefore, it seems highly unlikely that a six year old boy would be God's new spokesperson for heaven when Paul himself was told not permitted to talk about it. Just saying.?The "Great Lie" in the Tribulation ?Undoubtedly, there will have to be an explanation as to what happened to all the missing people. The Bible calls it the "Lie." ?"For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence (Greek= "activity of error") so that they will believe what is false, (THE LIE)" 2 Th. 2:11?It's quite possible that The Great Lie will be the explanation of what happened to all of the Believers who suddenly disappeared. Millions will vanish without warning and without a trace of where they went. ? Tim LaHaye surmises that all the clothes of the Raptured people will be left in a pile from where they were sitting/standing/lying. That seems logical since you won't need clothes in heaven.?But Ed Hindson says if that's what happens at the Rapture, then what about people who wear glasses? You would assume then glasses would be left behind. If so, then what about braces, false teeth and fillings? Surely they would be left behind too.?Taking that train of though you get to transplanted organs that are not your own...would they be left behind? What about fake hips, knees and breasts? The list is endless. Shoot, some might have more left behind than left the earth! It's an interesting thought. :-)?Regardless, the sudden disappearance of so many will cause massive disruptions. Cars wrecking and planes falling due to drivers who vanished are only the tip of the iceberg. Key business leaders, prison guards and born again pastors will be gone. And possibly even a politician might be missing. ?Therefore the lie could be that people from another planet or universe removed those who were ruining the planet. Or they were taken to another planet for reprogramming. That would also explain the 50 year push to make UFOs plausible.?Or "the lie" could refer to the middle of the tribulation when Satan is cast to earth. It's at this time the devil indwells the body of the three-days-dead world leader, bringing him back to life and claiming to be the resurrected Messiah... thus becoming the False Messiah/Abomination of Desolation (Dan. 11:31 /Mat. 24:15).?Blessings From Studying The Rapture ?Lastly, the fact you're interested in reading this article, looking forward to meeting Jesus in the air at the Rapture, puts you in a special category of people: those LOOKING for that incredible day to arrive. ?"in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing."? 2Tim. 4:8?Not to mention, the Book of Revelation, which contains almost all prophecy, is the only book in the Bible promising a blessing for just reading it!?"Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy..."? Rev 1:3?So, you're blessed for looking forward to the Rapture. You're blessed to be excluded from receiving God's wrath in the Tribulation. And you're comforted too by the fact God is still in control! And throughout it all, when we die or are Raptured, we win! Gotta love that! ?Needless to say, based on all that is going on in the world, we all need to reinforce our Biblical armor to deal with what's coming if the Lord tarries. In the time between now and the Rapture, I believe we'll have more and more opportunities to testify to the truth of what's really going on, as predicted in the Bible. ?We should pray always that the Lord will give us more and more occasions to explain what we know.?"Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity." Col. 4:5?"...he who turns a sinner from the error of his way [allows the Lord to use them] will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins." James 5:20 ?Think about it, we've been studying the Bible all our lives in order to be able to respond to all this--and now is the time to put to practical use what we've learned! ?The bottom line is that we're most likely living in the last of the last days, a special generation of Believers who can be like Noah, testifying about Biblical truth right up to the end! :-)?Use us, Lord!!?Is God Finished With Israel? - Alf Cengia - ??If there's one thing that's guaranteed to get me more fired up than those who apply the word "escapism" to pretribulationism, it is those who deny national Israel has a future in God's plan in the face of all the biblical evidence for it.?I've come to suspect that much of the opposition against dispensationalism, premillennialism and even pretribulationism stems from how some people view Israel. Those who hold to Replacement Theology (or supersessionism) often remark that we show "too much interest" in Israel and prophecy. They say we do so at the detriment of the gospel.?We who look at the prophetic texts and take them at a face-value understanding are passionate about Israel because we are passionate about God. And God is passionate about Israel. It isn't about idolizing secular Israel as some detractors sometimes like to imply. It is about recognizing God's faithful promise to one day redeem a recalcitrant nation when it repents (Hos 5:15; Matt 23:39) - just as He did for us.?This is the reassurance of the gospel. That Israel is promised restoration after it repents is comforting because that same God will keep His promises to us. If God can change His mind about Israel then what can we have hope in??While it's true that supporters of Israel can sometimes be uncritical, I'm afraid its detractors too often demonstrate a one-sided animosity. Some will side with the Palestinians because - they say - national Israel is unsaved as a whole. One typically then hears a litany of objections against unbelieving Jews and Israel.?When it is pointed out that these same objections also apply to Israel's neighbors, the argument becomes a heated theological debate. The assumption of the objector revolves around Israel's covenant promises being fulfilled in Christ or the church.?Many supersessionists claim they don't hold to Replacement Theology at all. They prefer to call it "Fulfillment Theology" because OT Israel is said to be a picture of the NT church. In that scheme, saved Jews are absorbed into the church and therefore inherit "all things." This is simply a clever side-stepping of the issues. When national Israel's unique blessings are either changed or transferred to another group, then that is the same as Replacement Theology.?Dr. Michael Vlach identifies five primary arguments (there are others) used to support Replacement Theology:?1) Matt 21:43 allegedly indicates that national Israel has been permanently rejected as God's people.?2) The application of OT language to the church supposedly proves that the church is the new Israel (Gal 3:7, 29, 6:16; Rom 2:28-29, 9:6; 1 Peter 2:9-10).?3) The Unity of the Jews and Gentiles (in the church) rules out a future distinct role for national Israel (Eph 2:11-22; Rom 11:17-24).?4) The church's relationship to the New Covenant shows that it alone inherits the covenants originally promised to national Israel (Heb 8:8-13).?5) That the New Testament is silent on Israel's restoration is proof that Israel will not be restored.?It's not possible to fully respond to these and other supersessionist arguments in this column. However, Dr. Vlach does so in his book Has the Church Replaced Israel? Many of these rebuttals may also be accessed at his online resource library.? We can make some brief observations, though.?The fifth argument is refuted by Acts 1:6-7. Christ's response to the disciples' question about the restoration of the kingdom to Israel indicates that they weren't to be concerned about the timing, not their primary assumption. Matt Waymeyer deals with this issue HERE.?Other NT passages confirm unbelieving Israel's standing as a chosen nation (Acts 3:12, 13-15, 25; Rom 11:26-29 etc).?Numbers three and four are false dilemma arguments which assume that, because Jews and Gentiles are One People in Christ in the New Covenant, there is no future for Israel. Not only is that not biblically warranted but Scripture never transfers Israel's land covenant blessings to the church. The New Covenant simply facilitates a way for national Israel and Gentiles to be redeemed.?In contrast to alleged NT difficulties regarding Israel's future, the Old Testament is filled with passages which point to Israel's redemption and restoration as a nation. ?Jeremiah 7:7, 25:5 and Amos 9:14-15 declare that God gave the land to Israel as an eternal possession. God told Israel that the enjoyment of the land was contingent to obedience (Lev 26:27-33). However God also Israel that He would not reject them or break His covenant with them, even when they were scattered in the land of their enemies (Lev 26:44-45).?God told Israel that He would never forget them; He have mercy on them; gather them from the nations; give them a new heart and that they would never cease to be a nation before Him (Deut 4:29-31, 30:2-4; Isaiah 11:11; Jeremiah 31:31-37, 33:25-26; Ezek 36:24-28, 37:1-14; Zechariah 12:10).?When confronted with all this OT evidence, supersessionists take refuge in the concept that the NT allegedly re-interprets the OT. First of all we should observe that they often also re-interpret the NT in cases such as Acts 1:6-7. Sometimes they even argue that the apostles re-interpreted the OT using the NT. Michael Vlach once again comes to our rescue by addressing these arguments in his NT use of the OT series.?One problem with this line of thinking is that the OT Messianic prophecies were fulfilled literally (Luke 24:25-27; Acts 3:18-21). Why should we assume those relating to national Israel be any different? What these people are doing is imposing their doctrinal presuppositions onto these texts.?There are consequences associated with this approach. Dr. Paul Henebury has outlined forty reasons why the NT shouldn't be used to re-interpret the OT. See Part One and Part Two. The most serious consequence of employing this interpretive method is that one is making God out to be disingenuous.?God means what He says!?I give the final word to John MacArthur in this short video, Israel and the Church: ?Dr. MacArthur nails it down very well.?Jordan launches war on ISIS in Iraq, Turkish warplanes hit ISIS in Syria - US, Israel involved in both ops - Middle East woke up Friday, July 24, to two new full-fledged wars launched by Jordan and Turkey for cutting down the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant as is forces advanced on their borders. The United States and Israel are involved in both campaigns. Jordanian armored, commando and air forces are already operating deep inside Iraq, while Friday morning, Turkey conducted its first cross-border air strike against ISIS targets in Syria. Clashes between Turkish troops and Islamic fighters erupted at several points along the border. Both governments also conducted mass arrests of suspected Islamists. The Jordanian police picked up ISIS adherents, while 5,000 Turkish police detained 250 Islamist and outlawed Kurdish PKK suspects in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and Saniurta. Jordan Friday shut down its only border crossing with Iraq.?Earlier this week, Turkey permitted US warplanes to us the Incirlik air base in the south for bombing missions against ISIS, and Israel handed over to Jordan 16 Cobra combat helicopters and assured Jordan of air force cover for its anti-ISIS operation.??Read more about this new chapter in the war on ISIS in the debkafile report of Thursday, July 23.??In the first publicized Israeli military hardware transaction with an Arab nation, Israel has handed over "around 16 Cobra" combat helicopters in support of Jordan's war on the Islamic State. This was confirmed Thursday, July 23, by a US official close to the transfer. It was also the first time US-Jordanian-Israeli military cooperation in the struggle against ISIS was publicly disclosed.?"These choppers are for border security," said the unnamed US official. debkafile's military and counter-terror sources disclose that the Cobras are needed for a large-scale Jordanian aerial-commando operation launched in the western Iraqi province of Anbar, which borders on the Hashemite Kingdom. This operation is designed to carve out a security belt tens of kilometers deep inside Iraq as a barrier against Islamic State's encroachment.??Amman approached Washington for combat helicopters to back the operation and was told that the US is short of these items and would turn Israel to pitch in. The US first provided mechanical overhauls for the aircraft before they were incorporated free of charge in Jordan's existing Cobra fleet.?The transfer was announced while US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter was touring the Middle East. He arrived in Amman Tuesday, July 21,after talks in Israel, and visited Baghdad unannounced Thursday, July 23 for an update on the war on ISIS??The mounting Islamist threat to Jordan is coming now from two directions - the Iraqi province of Anbar and? Syria. ISIS forces have grabbed positions in southern Syria near the intersection of the Jordanian, Iraqi and Syrian borders. They have also moved up to the eastern Syrian town of Abu Kamal on the Iraqi border and, since mid-May, have gradually detached small groups from the captured central Syrian town of Palmyra and quietly built up positions in the south near Jabal Druze.??This buildup has been tracked by US, Jordanian and Israeli surveillance.??The Islamist domestic threat to the Hashemite Kingdom is no less acute. Jihadist sleeper cells have been planted in Jordan ready to strike strategic targets for a reign of terror to coincide with the onset of external Islamic State attacks staged from Iraq and Syria.??Our military sources report that US-Israeli-Jordanian cooperation is channeled through the US Central Command Forward-Jordan from its headquarters north of Amman. It is staffed by US, British, Jordanian, Saudi and Israeli officers working together to defeat ISIS.??The Rapture and the Thief in the Night - Trailer??We must all face the facts and realize that all of us have friends and family members that are going to miss the rapture. In fact we felt it is actually the best film we have seen on end time events. - Bill & Brenda Hicks??At first I thought it was going to be another routine message but as it progressed it became more and more impressive. It was a great message. Congratulations on a very well presented and produced DVD. - R. Webb - Williamsburg?Another effective witness from Randy and Prophecy Update. The "There will be Tribulation" video describes the purpose and the sequence of events during the final seven years prior to the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The linkage to many Old Testament prophecies clearly show the importance of the nation of Israel to this seven-year period. The pictures in the video document a world already full of tribulation- how terrible will be those seven years. Great teaching tool for small groups and youth ministers to present the gospel message through the topic of bible prophecy. - John Wicklund Chair- Olive Tree Ministries Board of Directors??"Moving and Inspirational" - D. Koerner, Bakersfield, CA??"Your Presentation will literally scare the h-ll out some people. There is enough scripture and warnings of what is coming to cause, anyone, who has put off accepting the Lord's salvation through Jesus to repent now!" - Don Mills - Director of Programming - CSN Radio - Twin Falls, ID??Brother Randy, to say it was a great movie documentary is an understatement. Thank you for doing the Lord's work. This movie gave me the chills. - Terrance Alan - Kaukauna, WI??Thanks so much for the DVD There will be Tribulation...I watched it the other day, finally.?? It is well done and really holds your attention. Last week, he drove to an armed forces recruiting center and began firing an assault rifle into the front windows of the center. Fortunately, no one was killed. ?He then led police on a chase across town that ended at a Naval Reserve Center. There, he killed four Marines and a sailor who died later. Abdulazeez was shot and killed by police. ?Abdulazeez disproved President Obama's assertions that all the jihadists are after is a more just life with greater economic opportunity. He had a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He lived in a comfortable neighborhood and seemed to have a productive and full social life. He drove a young man's dream car. ?But in the last few years, he had made a couple of trips to Jordan and Kuwait. His friends recalled that when he returned, he seemed "different." ?Some of his actions and activities in the last few days of his life suggest that he acted out of Islamic motives, not frustration over job prospects. ?Yet, members of the mainstream media and our government are still reluctant to even imply that his religion had anything to do with it. ?It seems that everybody in America, even many Muslims, outside the mainstream media and the federal government recognize what is happening. ?And we also know that we will never defeat an enemy whose very existence we deny. ?But apparently this Administration has determined that not only do we not need to identify the enemy, as long as we deny it exists, we can live side-by-side with it. ?Last week, the P5+1 nations, plus Germany and the EU reached an agreement with Iran on its nuclear program. ?No surprise here. Iran got everything it wanted and we got nothing. Israel got less. That's because this agreement, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), virtually makes impossible any future Israeli military strike against Iran's nuclear program. ?But it did not take Israel out of Iran's crosshairs. ?This week, I am going to attempt to give you a succinct explanation of why I think this pact with Iran is virtually a pact with the devil. I'll also show you why I think it's all smoke and mirrors. It's an agreement that does not really limit Iran's ability to secure a nuclear weapon but, rather, disguises the clear path that Obama/Kerry left open for Iran. ?I believe the events of the past few weeks have helped to further set the world's stage for the great drama of Bible-predicted things to come. ?Folks, we are moving ever closer to the Rapture of the Church. Get ready! ?Don't miss this week's Report on TBN, Daystar, CPM Network, The Word Network, various local stations, ? or Hope & The Sovereignty of God - By Michael McShane - yuccadude69@??We live in a world and a nation where immoral behavior is celebrated, speaking the truth is slammed as intolerance, acting out with violence over having a rational discussion has become an everyday occurrence, our nation's economy is saddled with debt and could implode at any moment, our God given inalienable rights are being stripped away little by little each day by a tyrannical godless government driven by power and greed, God is no longer allowed in our children's classrooms only to be replaced by the study of Islam, Islamic terrorism is spreading across the world at an alarming rate, even in our own backyards and Christians are being persecuted and killed all over the world simply for their faith in Christ. I could go on and on listing all the evil that's in the world today. It would seem that there's no hope left, dealing with all of this on a daily basis you would think, would drive a person into a state of endless angry paranoia or depression, but my friends those of us who have accepted the awesome gift of salvation through Jesus Christ need not fear.? God is in Control...?From the beginning God created everything, me, you and every living being on this planet. It all belongs to Him and He is in control of it all, we need to remember this. The times we're living in are not new, Ecclesiastes 1:9-10 states - 'That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun'. To paraphrase, history repeats itself, the things that are happening in the world today might be new to us but they are not to God, and we need to remember this as well. Jesus made it clear in Matthew 10:22 that we as Christians we're going to have to deal with some things, He stated, 'And you will be hated by all for My name's sake' but He follows that up with 'But the one who endures to the end will be saved,' so knowing this we should expect bad things to happen but we also have the assurance that we're going to be alright in the end. Jesus told his disciples in Matthew 28:18 - All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me' and in Matthew 28:20 he states - 'I am with you always, to the end of the age'...?In studying the Word of God you'll find that the way the world is today was already foretold, these things that are happening are happening according to God's plan. His purpose for what's happening is beyond our understanding so we need to put our faith and trust in Him.? Romans 8:28 states - 'And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose'. ?The other day I was asked to share something on 'hope', according to Webster's dictionary one of the definitions of hope is - 'to expect something with confidence'. While mentioning this to my daughters, my youngest immediately stated, 'hope means strength'. I thought about what she said and realized that she was on to something because my 'hope' which comes from my faith in God gives me the strength to carry on each day no matter what the world throws at me. I know I'll be alright because my Lord and Savior knows what's happening in this world and it's all according to His purpose, not mine. Whether we understand it or not or even like what's happening I know that God's in charge of this world. On a personal note, I used to live in fear every hour of each day because of all the evil in this world but the moment I gave my life to Jesus all that fear vanished in an instant and was replaced with an everlasting spring of hope that I draw from each day..........for me, Psalm 34:4 says it all - 'I sought the Lord, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears'...?Our God is sovereign over everything, seen and unseen. Philippians 2:9-11 states - 'Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth'...?So if you find yourself feeling scared, angry or anxious, try and remember, God along with His angels are always watching over us. We are never alone...and God is always in control...??Beleaguered brethren, relief is on the way - Elizabeth Prata - ??What a blessed relief the rapture is to look forward to!!!??In his tremendous sermon delivered last Sunday, July 19, Pastor John MacArthur demonstrated once again the qualities of a superlative shepherd.??After Memorial Day he planned to go on vacation as usual. He delivered a sermon to help his flock prepare for events that may occur while he was gone. He said in his good-bye for now sermon,? "Hope for a Doomed Nation" that?So as we look at our nation - and I don't know what's going to happen in the next few weeks when I'm not here. I'm just kind of preempting that a little bit by helping you to be able to think through whatever happens. I have to say at this point that there are many churches who aren't helping.?One event was obviously what turned out to be the devastating Supreme Court decision to legalize homosexual marriage in all 50 states as the law of the land. We knew that the Supreme Court decision was coming out in early June, and we knew the decision would not likely swing to the moral side of the compass. So the Pastor was preparing his flock to receive bad news and retain their spiritual equilibrium (and ours too, if we listen to GTY). However, in addition to the SCOTUS decision, we also endured the Charleston church shooting, Chattanooga military base terrorist shooting, Louisiana movie theater shooting, and the Planned Parenthood videos. A lot happened while their senior pastor was away.??So much so, that the rapidity of our moral collapse as a nation is dizzying. The collapse is coming from many different directions. That's partly why it's dizzying, our heads are swinging from this side to that to detect all the incoming. So though Pastor MacArthur's vacation was going to be the usual length, most of the summer, MacArthur had an opportunity to return and preach for one Sunday, July 19 before resuming this week. In the face of moral collapse, heightened danger physically and spiritually for every Christian in this country, and grief over the heinousness of the Planned Parenthood videos, how can a pastor best help his flock at such a time as this???He opened that sermon, We Will Not Bow by saying,?A lot is happening at a very rapid rate. And with all the discussion that's been going on, I've been kind of eager to get to you, and maybe help to give you a perspective.?His phrase, 'get to you', was filled with urgency and the word 'to' was emphasized. You'll hear it if you listen. It reminded me of a mama on a playground suddenly hearing her child cry because he fell down, and her instinct is to rush over and scoop him up and protect. That was the attitude in his statement, a shepherd rushing over to protect the sheep, to calm them and give them food. This in itself is encouraging.??The sermon was encouraging as much as it was informative. Toward the conclusion of it, MacArthur focused on the relief that is in store.??No matter what is occurring in the world or the United States ultimately there will be an end. The end for believers will be blessed relief from the corruptions of our flesh, the battles against the temptations of the world, and the deliverance from the presence of satan and sin. It will all end and for us, the end will be a holy blessed relief. It all can be summed up in one word: Jesus. He gives the relief and His work on the cross actuated it.??Part of that relief will be the righteous satisfaction in seeing evildoers punished. The end for those who do not love Jesus is eternal conscious torment after having been judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. I know this isn't a palatable statement for many to read, but once we are glorified at the rapture and the end of all things plays out, we will be part of Jesus in every way. He longs for making all things right and we will too. Sinners' sins are so terrible against our Jesus that we will want to see Him enthroned, claiming His position as dispenser of justice.??MacArthur said? But that same event brings us relief, relief. Verse 6, "It is only just for God to repay with affliction." And implied, it is only just for God to give relief. He will give relief to His own. Affliction will end. Persecution will end. Suffering will end. That's His promise. And it will end for those that belong to Him-those who have been afflicted by a God-rejecting, Christ-rejecting world.??And what does that relief look like? Verse 10, we'll be glorified with Him on that day, "to be marveled at among all who have believed." I love to think of that. We're going to look at each other and say, "Whoa, did you turn out amazing! I never could have imagined." I've told you before, I know there are many of you, that when we get to heaven, I won't recognize. Perfection with obliterate any memory of what you used to be.??We're just passing through, aren't we? We're just passing through. (John MacArthur "We Will Not Bow")?I began this essay saying what a good shepherd John MacArthur is. I have several friends who had opportunity to hear the sermon live last Sunday. They both tweeted how blessed they were to hear it and be comforted along with many other solid believers. I write this essay because not everyone has such a blessing.??As the moral slide gains steam and hurtles down that downgrade, many discerning believers are left adrift inside their local congregations with unworthy shepherds. Some pastors are just plain unskilled at being able to comfort through scriptures. These pastors preach topically, usually three points of self-help sermons such as "Three Ways to Get Your Kids to Listen to You" or "Six Ways to Change Your Life". Self-help is no help at all when trials come.??Other pastors are ignorant of eschatology or are unwilling to give it credence. Thus they avoid scriptures that refer to the end of all things such as the Matthew 24 or 1 Thessalonians verses, which actually are designed to comfort. (1 Thessalonians 4:18).??Other pastors are not saved and are actually agents of satan. We don't like to believe this, but it is true far more often than most people realize. S. Lewis Johnson preached,?And so it was inevitable, Paul says, that factions would exist in the church. For there must also be factions among you that those are approved may be recognized among you. In fact, the factions and the process of being approved by the way in which we respond to the problems of the local church is really an anticipation of a separation that is to occur at the judgment seat - well, at the Great White Throne judgment. ??There are people who are in ostensible fellowship with local churches that are not going to be in heaven. We know that. The Bible details that, too. Satan is very active in the Christian church seeking to overthrow the ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. And so, consequently, he infiltrates the Christian churches. And if it's a Christian church that is a fruitful church there will be some there that are not emissaries of our Lord but are really emissaries of Satan. Paul talks about that in 2 Corinthians chapter 11.??And he says "not only are they sitting in the pew, they're standing by the pulpit." As a matter of fact, the ones standing behind the pulpit are more dangerous and more likely to upset the Church of God. And so Satan is very anxious to have one standing behind a pulpit, or standing behind this pulpit, too, for that matter. ?For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17)??So for those who do not have the blessing of a faithful pastor, and/or are attending a church filled with false doctrine but don't know where else to go, or are dealing with factions and disgruntled members, or who simply feel alone even in the middle of a local congregation, take heart.??We are sojourners on this hostile planet. But that will end. Relief is on the way. Praise Jesus.???Daily Jot: Islamic children systematically indoctrinated with hate - Bill Wilson - ?During a trip to Israel a few years ago, our media group was shown video of "Palestinian" classrooms where children as young as four years old were reciting the violent verses of the Koran and being taught that Jews were pigs. As the ages progressed, these schools progressed in teaching how to use weapons to kill Jews and further deepened their understanding that their religion required it of them. It is not uncommon to see video of Islamic children practicing with automatic weapons to kill Jews and Christians. These schools are typical, the classrooms typical, the teachings typical throughout Islam. The media is now reporting that the Islamic State (IS) is taking this indoctrination to new levels. ?Vocativ media reports this scene, "The boy hovered above the handcuffed soldier, who confessed to being a Syrian army captain. Clad in camouflage and clutching a small knife, the child, one of the Islamic State's newest recruits, forced his prisoner onto his stomach. He jerked the man's head back by his hair and put the blade to his throat. Then he began to saw. Later, the boy, whose name and age are unknown, posed with the prisoner's severed head." Vocativ reports this was the first time IS had publicly shown a child cutting off a head, but it was the third time in less than two weeks that IS had bragged about a killing committed by a growing band of child recruits.?The IS approach to children is to systematically indoctrinate them that hate of Christians and Jews, and Muslims that disagree with them, is part of their religious duty. They have the Koran and its verses in context to back up this death cult indoctrination. Vocativ reports: "ISIS looks beyond the battlefield, seeking an unwavering commitment from its child militants...the group's young recruits are nurtured on an ideology that's rooted in a radical interpretation of Islam." University of Illinois psychiatry professor Steven Weine, who has studied the lasting impact of political violence on children, says he is most concerned about the long term effects of the "combination of emerging state structures, extremist ideology, atrocities on a mass scale, and a willingness to involve children."?IS has released a recruiting video done by children as young as three. They are talking directly to the camera asking "where are the martyrs, where are the suicide attackers...Give me my weapon." The video also shows children in a classroom learning the Koran and Sharia law, then shifts to the same kids doing military training. This is the face of Islam. It began with Mohammad, who used the self-written Koran to justify war, slavery, and violence, and it has continually progressed in brutality for over 1,400 years. Islam is neither peaceful nor a religion. This is what is being imported to America by our government, who expects us to embrace it. As Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you."?? ?Daily Devotion: Pleading with God - Greg Laurie - ??So the LORD changed his mind about the terrible disaster he had threatened to bring on his people. -Exodus 32:14?I find it amazing that Moses negotiated with God and got away with it. But he wasn't the only one. Another man who negotiated with God was Abraham, and he was called the friend of God.?When God was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham started praying. He said, "Suppose you find fifty righteous people living there in the city-will you still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes? . . . Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?" (Genesis 18:24-25). He was actually telling God about His own nature.?God said, "If I find fifty righteous people in Sodom, I will spare the entire city" (verse 26).?Then Abraham said, "Even though I am but dust and ashes. Suppose there are only forty-five righteous people rather than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city for lack of five?" (verses 27-28).?Next Abraham threw out the prospect of forty people, then twenty people, and finally ten. Even then, God said He wouldn't destroy the city if He could find only ten righteous people. But God couldn't find ten people, and ultimately He judged Sodom. ?Abraham could talk to God that way because he was His friend. It might seem irreverent, but it speaks of the closeness of his friendship with God.?In the same way, Moses negotiated with God to spare the Israelites after they worshiped the golden calf, and God spared them. Moses had changed from an impulsive prince of Egypt into a seasoned man of God who put it all on the line for his people.?Does this mean that we should argue with God? Not really. But it does mean that we should plead with God. We should intercede for people whom we care about.?FROM THE HEART??IF YOU HAVE BEEN BLESSED THROUGH THIS MINISTRY, THEN WE ASK THAT YOU WOULD PLEASE REMEMBER PROPHECY UPDATE IN YOUR GIVING - WE ARE TRULY,?TRULY,?THANKFUL FOR YOUR SUPPORT??Prophecy Update has no corporate sponsors.
