JOB DESCRIPTIONJOB TITLE: Guest Experience Manager Based at Conway Centre, Anglesey GRADE:Up to - ?30kRESPONSIBLE TO:Residential Services Manager JOB PURPOSE: You will be a positive role model with the ability, passion and enthusiasm to deliver exceptional customer care, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded. You must enjoy interacting with people and have the ability to manage a group of facilities supervisors to ensure that our buildings and site operations are safe and compliant and that a high- quality, customer focussed culture is maintained and that all customers are introduced into buildings that have high quality assurance standards. You will plan and organise all functions around Edsential residential sites (Anglesey, Oaklands and Cheshire Centres) including Health & Safety, buildings and grounds maintenance, environmental aspects (including energy conservation) and oversight of capital building projects. Duties and Responsibilities:Deliver exceptional Customer Care, including the induction of visitors and residential courses to the Centre.Provide 24 hour coverage for health and safety/ fire safety /security etc at all the buildings to ensure statutory compliance with current legislation and relevant good practice standards, within a framework of sensible risk management.Line manage the Transport Manager, Catering and Facilities Supervisors to ensure that quality assurance standards are in place and continually reviewed.Manage the efficient operation of all the outdoor Centres buildings and grounds.Ensure all accidents and incidents on our sites are managed, reported and investigated in a sensible and proportionate manner.Manage in a motivational manner, evaluate assigned staff ensuring they are trained and competent in work procedures, standards and safe working practices, appraise employee’s performance.Provide professional leadership including the forecasting, planning and analysis relating to, budget control and equipment replacement. Ensure financial efficiencies as directed by the Head of Service e.g. establish best value contracts for services, utilities. Maintain master plans of all Centre buildings, pathways, roadways, electrical, gas, water and telephone service lines.Develop and monitor ongoing preventative and reactive maintenance and health and safety programmes for all buildings, grounds, electrical and mechanical systems ensuring quality of service and standards.Develop departmental policies and procedures to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective contracts, facilities and all other arrangements are in place.Monitor and develop standards of workmanship carried out by staff and contractors. PERSON SPECIFICATIONQualifications Relevant higher level qualification (e.g. HNDDegree level and corporate membership of an appropriate professional body)Evidence of ongoing continuous professional developmentDesired Experience Ability to work in a pressured environment with first class organisational and planning skillsGood awareness of H&S legislation with NEBOSH or IOSH certification Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with ability to work with senior members of the organisationProven experience of managing and developing employees within a service environment and maximising the performance of the teamManaging people in remote locationsJob Related Knowledge Proven knowledge of managing multiple buildings along with practical implementation of statutory safety inspections and testing programmes e.g. legionella, asbestos, electrical, fire safety systems.
