CONFERENCE & BANQUETING SUPERVISOR (THE WATERSIDE HOTEL) July 2019An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our award-winning team We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in all aspects of conference, banqueting and bar operations for weddings and private events of this popular SimpsInns venue. This is a hands-on role in the day to day supervision of the department within the venue. The successful candidate will report to the conference and banqueting manager. The supervisor must be people focused, demonstrating excellent guest service at all times. Close attention to detail, setting example for team to deliver a standard of service and presentation that meets guest’s needs and expectations is essential. Business and people management are equally important elements. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who aspires to be the best and can offer a warm and friendly welcome to all guests to make their visit to the venue exceptional. Experience of running and motivating teams, dealing with a variety of guest and business situations is required. You must to be flexible in terms of working hours and have strong knowledge of banqueting and wedding operations. Experience in a similar quality of venue is essential.Key areas of responsibility:Ensure the smooth running of all day-to-day operations of the departmentUndertake show round and appointments to a high standard Train, develop and motivate team throughout the period of their employmentWork closely with the kitchen team to deliver the highest level of food quality and presentation Offer a friendly, efficient, informal yet highly professional service delivering the highest standard of guest care at all timesAchieve sales and profit targets, manage budgets and control expenditure by reducing costs and maximise sales within the department Comply with current licensing, health and safety, food safety and fire safety regulations Company benefits: Competitive salary dependent on experience, 28 days holiday per year (pro rata).
