AUTO-FILLABLE FORMS NEW FEATURE TO WEB BROWSER

Have you ever made the immediate decision to deny an applicant after pulling his or her credit report? The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires you to give the applicant an adverse action form or in other words, a notice of denial. Now we have made it easier for you to produce this letter through CIC's Web Browser system.

The letter auto-populates the applicant's name & address, the report number & date, and the Subscriber's name (your company or landlord name). All you need to do is print and mail or personally hand to the applicant.

You can generate the letter any time. Simply:

Go to "List 100 - Add-On - Letters" Click "refresh" (if you don't see the person, type in

the last, first name and click search) Mark the applicant by clicking the circle next to the

person's name Scroll down the screen and select the which letter Click "Request Letter" A new window will pop up with the auto-filled letter

and simply print

CIC will be adding other popular forms, such as an adverse action letter for employment. If you have one in mind that you would like to see, please contact Wendy Sexton, Account Manager at 800-288-4757 x229 wendy@

CIC is here to make your job easier.

CIC News Flash

HAIR FOLLICLE DRUG TESTING

CIC is now offering a new type of drug testing...hair follicle. Employers, law enforcement and others have discovered that hair testing provides significant advantages over traditional urine testing. The advantages include a wider window of detection (90 days), less invasive and easier collection, and virtual elimination of tampering with the test. The standard hair-5 panel includes cocaine, opiates, amphetamines (including ecstasy), PCP, and marijuana.

Hair testing is the most accurate and effective method of finding users of drugs of abuse. Using a small sample of hair cut at the scalp, hair analysis evaluates the amount of drug metabolites embedded inside the hair shaft. If no head hair is available, body hair can be used. Bleaches, shampoos and external contaminants (i.e. marijuana smoke) have no known impact on test results.

The cost is $139.00. CIC continues to offer urine testing at $41 for 5 panel; $45 for 10 panel. To be setup for either hair follicle or urine drug testing, please call our office.

IMPROVED WEBSITE

In February, CIC underwent a major website re-design. It is easier to navigate, to find what you are looking for, and to see the wide range of products offered by your background screening provider. The quick pick menu is a convenient shortcut to free Subscriber forms, free Investigative links, understanding credit scores and more.

Go to and experience it for yourself.
