Arthritis Classes

Joint Effort & Body Motions

Joint Effort & Body Motions are taught by certified arthritis foundation instructors. We encourage everyone with arthritis to give the class a try, and notice for yourself the differences in your mobility. Give it a try, Your body will thank you!

HydroPPhit Classes

HydroPPhit, is an intermediate level aerobic workout for weight loss, strength training, flexibility, and endurance. Find out how much you can do when the presence the water gives you a boost.

AquaPPhit

AquaPPhit, is a high level aerobic workout for weight loss, strength training, and endurance. One of our more strenuous aquatic classes, this format is designed to get you in the best shape of your life

ChairRobics

ChairRobics is a low impact aerobic workout conducted in a seated position. Exercises are designed to embrace a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills.

SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SilverSneakers® YogaStretch

YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated & standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance & range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises & final relaxation will promote stress reduction & mental clarity.

Tai Chi

T'ai chi is an ancient form of Chinese exercise  that uses slow, smooth body movements to achieve a state of relaxation of both body and mind. T'ai chi can be helpful in achieving a state of physical and mental relaxation while also strengthening the cardiovascular and immune systems. As a very slow and gentle form of moving, tai chi has virtually no side effects. Consult your physician if you have any doubts about the conditions of your joints, vertebrae, or heart. Done regularly, Tai Chi can improve muscle tone, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Seniors find that it boosts their energy, stamina, and agility, sharpens their reflexes, and gives an overall sense of well-being. The calming and meditative aspects of t'ai chi allow many to experience its ability to relieve stress.

Gentle Yoga

Yoga is a 500 year old ancient Indian process embracing the balance of emotion, action, and intelligence. The Sanskrit word "Yoga" means "to unite or integrate." Yoga is the union of a person's own consciousness and the universal consciousness. 

Yogis believe that in order to achieve harmony with yourself and the environment, one must integrate the body, mind, and the spirit. The process of Yoga and integrates it through exercise, breathing, and Meditation - the three main Yoga structures. 

A Yoga practice can  improve circulation, stimulate the abdominal organs, and put pressure on the glandular system of the body, which can generally result to better health. 

Yoga PPhit

A 60 min energetic approach to the process described above. Athletic posturing, mindful breath and flexibility exercises help the practitioner to achieve a better understanding of the process and person's own consciousness and the universal consciousness.
