Letters of recommendation should be emailed directly to Katie Greene (kgreene@fas.harvard.edu) with “Jesus College Application: [Your] Last Name” in the subject line by Monday, May 18th.Focus Field in Social Studies: In the space below, please briefly describe your planned focus field in Social Studies.Short Essay:In 250-500 words, please explain why you would like to attend the Social Studies at Cambridge program. Please list topics you would like to study in Cambridge, including who you might be interested in studying with, and explain how your coursework there will complement your work in Social Studies. Notice of Administrative RequirementsThe Social Studies-Jesus Exchange Program is approved by the Office of International Education at Harvard College but is organized directly by the Committee on Degrees in Social Studies and the Senior Tutor’s Office at Jesus College. If you are admitted to the program, the Senior Tutor’s Assistant will obtain a visa for you to study in Britain. Please note that you will not be able to do any paid work while you are there. And please note that in order to complete the visa process, the Senior Tutor’s Assistant will need (1) a confirmation of your acceptance of your place at Jesus (2) a passport style photo (for your Jesus ID and your visa), (3) a financial declaration form which will require information from Harvard’s financial aid office (if you are on financial aid) and copies of your family’s bank statements if you are not, to show that you can pay the fees at Jesus (4) the dates of your arrival and departure from Britain.
