This initiative, funded by the Buhl Foundation, is to provide workforce development services to Pittsburgh's Northside Communities. She has built this project from the ground up and continues to be the driving force behind the heralded success of the program. The most admirable success that she has had in this role is how well she has integrated into the Northside Community and displayed a genuine want for the well-being and success of all the individuals that she serves.

Although Ashley's current work has been focused on the Northside of Pittsburgh, Ashley has done a lot of work in the Mon Valley communities as well. While completing her MSW, she interned at the McKeesport Hospital Foundation where she worked with the Director to make the Mon Valley communities safer and healthier. Because of her internship and the other work in the Mon Valley communities, she was named the Social Leader in 2018 through the Mon River Fleet Women of Achievement award. Ashley is also very involved with the Huntington's Disease Society of America, where she is the Chair of Fundraising for the National Youth Alliance. With this position, Ashley is a huge advocate in and around the HD community and raises money from youth affected by HD.
