Dr. Baron has consistently given the Scrabble players the method and means to play this game at its highest level. He has made it easy to move off the kitchen table and into serious gamesmanship. The organization of the latest edition is outstanding! Each word list is magnificently and meticulously developed. I have used this volume to introduce the game to high school students, who are intrigued by the adding of letters to create new words (e.g. two- to make three.) Thank you, Dr. Baron.

This book is a terrific value. It can be used in place of the Scrabble dictionary during games, and it's easier to find the words because there are no definitions, and the words are listed in alphabetical order AND alphagram order. It also gives you ideas as to what order to learn the word lists in. I would recommend, though, that as soon as you receive this book you get it spiral-bound with a coil binding at OfficeMax (cost: $4.50). I found that the binding cracked and the pages started falling out after only two weeks. But with the new binding I can lay the book flat and study it while I'm eating, and the pages don't go anywhere.

This is a wonderful helper if you enjoy Scrabble or Words. I find it very user friendly and I useit everyday! Try it! You won't be disappointed. The only problem is the size of the book, it'sbig and gets in the way sometimes. It's well worth it I must say, always has what I need!

thumbs up transaction...seems like description of workbook could richer...the book seems more a reference than a workbook. But most importantly, no qualms at all with quality of product and transaction process

This book would absolutely get five stars from me but it is so difficult for me to read the small print that there are times I'd like to study it/look things up in it but I don't or won't simply because of the small print. I would definitely welcome a thicker book with a more "normal" size print. The lists are wonderful for hard-core Scrabble players.

helped me beat my mom at words with friends..she is since deceased but she loved the fact I could challenge herwith the help of this book! she was very very smart!!

For the intermediate player who wants to be professional this is a good book. But for someone who does not want to play competively this book requires some study time. All said, this is a good book

Perhaps I didn't read all the reviews to know how BIG and heavy the book is, with lots of small print and many "tricky" ways to find words. I just wanted a plain little Scrabble dictionary,but maybe there isn't such a thing?
