Introduction

。

Thank you for choosing the camera. Please carefully read the manual before using, and keep it at a safe place for future reference.

The compilation of the user manual refers to the latest information. The manual quotes captured screen displays and graphics, with the aim to introduce the digital camera through detailed and direct methods. Due to the differences of technical R&D and production batch, those captured screen displays and graphics indicated in the manual may be different from that of actual digital camera.

Precautions

TF high-speed card (multimedia memory card) at Class6 or above is required for this camera.

Instructions for using the memory card

● In case of a newly purchased memory card for the first time use, or data available in the memory card unrecognized for the camera or image captured by other cameras, please ensure to firstly format the memory card;

● Before plugging in or taking out the memory card, please firstly turn off the camera;

● After using for many times, performance of the memory card will be lowered. In case of lowered performance, a new memory card is needed to purchase;

● The memory card is a precise electronic device. Please don’t bend it and keep it away from falling or heavy load;

● Don’t keep the memory card in the environment with strong electromagnetic or magnetic field, like the place near speaker or receiver of TV;

● Don’t use or keep the memory card in environment with over high or low temperature;

● Keep the memory card clean and away from contacting liquid. In case of contacting liquid, please dry it with soft cloth;

● In case of keeping the memory card idle, place it into the card sleeve;

● Please note that the memory card will get hot after long-term use, this is normal;

● Don’t use the memory card having been used on other digital cameras. If need to use the memory card on this camera, please firstly format it on the camera;

● Don’t use the memory card having been formatted on other camera or card reader;

● In case of one of the followings with the memory card, the recorded data may be damaged:

- Improper use of the memory card;

- Disconnect power supply or take the memory card out during recording, deleting (formatting) or reading;

● Copy important data to a floppy/hard disk or U disk is suggested.

Camera maintenance

● When the camera is in idle, please keep it in dry shady place.

● Use protective cases to avoid the scratches to lens and LCD.

● If lens is needed to be cleaned, firstly blow away the dust on the surface, then use cloth or paper suitable for optical devices to clean. Detergent could be used if necessary. Please don’t use organic solvent to clean.

● Please do not touch the lens by figures.

OS requirements

Before operating the camera, please refer to the minimum configurations of OS. Higher configurations are suggested to achieve better performance. Minimum configurations are as below:

Getting started

1. Charge the detachable Li-ion battery

The camera is equipped with 3.7V Li-ion battery. Please make sure the camera is enough power before using. Charge the camera timely when it is lower power.

Turn off the camera and connect it with the computer to charge. When charging the camera, charging indicator keeps on. After finishing charging, the indicator goes off. Normally, it takes 2-4 hours to finish the charging.

2. How to use memory card

2.1 Insert the memory card as indicated by the icon into the slot until the card totally inside.

2.2 To remove the memory card, gently press the edge of the memory card until it pops out.

Note: The camera doesn’t have built-in memory. A memory card must be inserted into the camera before using. After inserting the memory card, make sure to format the memory card on the camera first.

3. Power on/off

3.1 Power on: Keep pressing the Power key for three seconds till the screen is on

3.2 Power off: keep pressing the camera for three seconds to power off

3.3 Auto off: Power saving mode. The screen turns off after 15s (time could be set) no use of the camera; The camera turns off after 5mins (time could be set) no use of the camera.

4. Modes switch

After the camera is power on, short press Power key to change modes among Videos/Photos/Slow motion/Settings

4.1 Video mode

In Video mode, short press Video key to start recording. While recording, the upper left LCD shows the recording time and video icon. Short press OK key to stop recording. The camera saves the video files automatically.

Note: The screen would turn off automatically when recording to save power. It could be turn on again by short pressing the Power key.

4.2 Photo mode

In photo mode, aim the camera at the objects, press OK key to shoot the photo. The camera saves the photo automatically.

4.3 Slow motion mode

In slow motion mode, press Video key to start recording slow motion video. The slow motion video is 1080P 30fps. In slow motion mode, the upper left LCD shows slow motion icon and resolution of 1080P 30fps.

4.4; Settings mode

After camera is power on, press Power key repeatedly to switch to the Settings Mode. Press OK key to enter Settings.

Press Power key repeatedly to change settings of video/photo/general settings/system settings and exit.

4.4.1; In settings of video, press Down key to set Video Resolution/Recording Sound/Time-lapse/Loop Recording/Slow Motion. Press Video key to confirm and save the changes.

4.4.2; In settings of photo, press Down key to set Photo resolution/Timed/Auto/Drama Shot. Press OK key to confirm and save the changes.

4.4.3; In general settings, press Down key to set Exposure/White Balance/Wifi/Image Rotation/Driving Mode/Light Source Frequency/LED indicator Light/Auto Screensaver/Auto Shutdown. Press OK key to confirm and save the changes.

4.4.4; In System settings, press Down key to set Language/Date-Time/Format/Reset to Factory Settings/Firmware Version. Press OK key to confirm and save the changes.

5. Press Power key repeatedly to Exit the Settings Mode.

5. Connect to PC

Choose the “USB Mode” to read data of the camera

Choose the “Charging Mode” to charge the camera only

Functional keys

Power (Mode) key

Keep pressing Power key for 3s to power on;

Keep pressing Power key for 3s to power off;

When the camera is on, short press Power key to switch Modes between Video/Photo/Slow Motion/Settings;

2 OK key

Start/stop recording; Shooting photos; function of confirmation;

3 Down key

In Settings Mode, press Down key to page down;

In Video/Photo/Slow Motion Mode, short press Down key to Open/Close wifi;

4 Up key

In Video/Photo/Slow Motion Mode, short press Up Key to enter settings;

In Settings Mode, short press Up key to page up;

. Indicators Light

1 Indicators

1.1 Charging indicator: the red light keeps on when charging. It turns off after finishing charging;

1.2 Wifi indicator: the blue light flashes when opening wifi. And it keeps on after wifi connection;

1.3 Busy indicator: the green light keeps on when the camera is in standby. It flashes when recording, and flashes once each time shooting photo.

WIFI connection and use of APP

Before using the function of wifi, please install the APP in Mobile devices

Note:

For Android devices, please search “XDV720”in Google Play and get it installed;

For IOS devices, please search “XDV720”in Apple Store and get it installed;

1 Wifi connection

1.1 Power on the camera. Short press Down key to open wifi. The screen shows “ waiting for wifi connection” and wifi indicator flashes.

1.2 Find the wifi named “Action Cam” on the mobile devices. Connect it with the password 1234567890

1.3 Open the APP “XDV720”on the mobile device. The app shows what the camera captures. Video recording/Photo shooting/Playback/Download/Delete/Share could be done on the APP.
