on their computer?

Partitions allow the splitting up of a computer

hard drive.

Partitions exist at the physical, media specific

level.

Making separate partitions allows for the

installation of multiple Operating Systems or

portions of different File Systems for many

useful purposes.

Usually file systems are used for regular files

containing text or binary data.
