The students will be clearing their desks of everything except a pencil to write with.The teacher will ask the students to talk about the 4 homework questions from the previous lesson about the Role of Nutrients. The teacher will hand out the “Fill in the blank” worksheet for the students to follow along with during the presentation.Activity- the students will cut and glue pictures of foods that would be placed onto the proper food group to check for student understanding.PowerPoint Slides- there are slides full of information that the students will follow along, fill in the worksheet, and ask any questions about the topics.Differentiation 1.5:Allow a student with special needs to have a (key) copy of the worksheet so the student can just read the slides and follow along. The student will be more active in the class this way because giving the student more than one task can or may be challenging for them to do. Allowing more time for patience when giving and receiving answers to questions being asked of a student with special needs by repeating the question or slowing down the speed and tone of your voice.Closure 1.6:The students will clean up all materials on their desk.
