Dear Valued Patients,There have been many changes and new protocols that we have been implementing at our office during this time. At Capitol Hill Dental Clinic, we care deeply about our dental team, patients and community. Just like you, we are closely monitoring new developments regarding COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus). Our clinic follows best practices to ensure our office is a clean and safe environment to work and receive dental treatment. We have outlined some key highlights of the procedures we follow to promote the health and safety of our patients and ensure you have the best experience possible.In each of our dental operatories, we have installed True HEPA Air Purifier. The HEPA Filter captures 99.97% of dust and allergens as small as 0.3 microns such as dust, pet dander, organic chemicals, mold spores, smoke, odours, and plant pollens. In addition, we will install IQ Air Health Pro Plus which filters 99.5% of harmful ultrafine pollution particles down to 0.003 microns in size which is 100 times smaller than the size of the Coronavirus. Our staff will wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during appointments and interactions with patients and their environment (e.g. gloves, protective eyewear, N95 masks, faceshields, gowns). In addition, we will take their temperature everyday and make sure they are safe and healthy.Practicing Social Distancing (6FT apart) – designated “waiting” areas, floor decals, window decals etc.Accepting electronic payments only (credit card number given over the phone), electronic receipts (sent by e-mail).Taking patient’s temperatures as soon as they arrive and giving them a anti-septic mouth rinse before their dental procedure.We are currently working towards developing a plan to re-open when it is safe to do so. We have been preparing in-office signs, social distancing signs, sanitization station and much more to keep all our patients and staff safe. Your oral care is our number one priority and if you or your family member has a dental emergency, we are here for you. We are still treating emergency patients over the phone. We will assist you as soon as we can.As the situation surrounding COVID-19 is rapidly changing we will approach all decisions thoughtfully and with advice from public health authorities and with the best evidence available.
