The purpose of the United States Academic Decathlon and Octathlon is to develop and provide academic competitions, curriculum and assessment to promote learning and academic excellence through teamwork among students of all achievement levels. Our vision is to provide all students the opportunity to excel academically through team competition. Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community.

The club meets every Tuesday in 1403 from 3:50-4:30. There are snacks and student-led conversations about a variety of topics related to animation. The KHS Archery Team is aimed at improving educational performance through strengthening students' focus, self-control, discipline, and patience. Members will also learn life lessons that will help them be successful in life by participating in this lifelong sport. Members will participate in regional and state archery competitions while learning fundamentals along the way. Students will go through an application process during the spring semester, and once accepted, will complete 15-20 art-related service hours, as well as maintain a 3.0 GPA. The mission of NAHS is to inspire and recognize students who have shown outstanding ability and interest in art, aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and community service, and lastly to bring art education to the attention of the school and community. Will teach and prepare young minds to appreciate and know astronomy. Our purpose is to educate students about the stars and navigate the night sky. The purpose of the AVID Leadership Club is to help prepare all students to be eligible to attend the four-year-university of their choice. The ALC will guide all KHS students on their path through high school by incorporating AVID techniques and methods in tutorials and study groups. We will also complete a community service project as a club and help raise funds for the KHS AVID program. The KHS Band program promotes mental and physical discipline, teamwork, time management, self-discipline, critical listening, and creative self-expression. Chinese Club hopes to provide all people with a chance to experience Chinese culture, and help students learn Chinese Languages. The extremely successful choir program at KHS is made up of 7 choirs that include varsity and non-varsity mixed choirs, a varsity treble choir, 3 non-varsity treble choirs, and the show choir, Tribe. One of the 6 choir programs on campus. This singing/dancing group performs extensively throughout the Metroplex. Circle of Friends is a club that works with special needs students at KHS and in the community. The club volunteers and organizes monthly events to provide opportunities for special needs students and the members to interact. For every year, that a student earns 40 volunteer hours working with the special needs community they will receive a "Blue Cord" for graduation. The club slogan states: MAKE A FRIEND...MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Citizens Academy is a program that gives juniors and seniors a behind the scenes exploration of local government and its functions. Through a partnership between KHS and the City of Keller, students work directly with city employees over the course of a 13-week period during the fall semester. This

The Keller Clay Target Team strives for excellence in citizenship, scholarship, and marksmanship. Our goal is to be examples of utmost safety and respect in individual and team competition as we participate in the competitive events of Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays. We have both a JV and a Varsity team. ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME. We compete in local, state, and national tournaments within the state of Texas.
