|3. |Children’s Sign-In Sheet |These can be made on the computer, poster board or copy paper. | |

|4. |Rules Chart |These are posted at children’s eye level with words, then icons. Neat and clear printing is used | |

| | |(cursive writing is avoided) and a limited number of words is used. Language is positive. | |

|5. |Daily News |This can be written on laminated poster board, chart tablet or dry erase board. | |

|Classroom Labels |Labels must be neatly printed with icons and be visible on shelves, cubbies, etc. Labeling should | |

| |happen over time with the children’s assistance. | |

|ABC Picture Letter Wall |Each word that is placed on the letter wall has a picture after it. Words are printed neatly and | |

| |are placed at children’s eye level, preferably in the circle time or writing center area. | |

|Posters |Posters and other wall decorations serve an educational purpose. They are placed at children’s eye | |

| |level. | |

|Portfolios |There should be a portfolio created for each child. Your CIRCLE manual can be used as a reference. | |

|Children’s Work |Children’s work should be placed at eye level. Walls should have a variety of children’s work | |

| |displayed around the room. | |

|Read Aloud Chart |Teacher uses a read aloud board with Title, Author, Illustrator and voca-ulary cards with | |

| |icons/pictures. These may be placed in a pocket chart. | |

|Lesson Plan |The lesson plans are posted in or outside the classroom. | |

|Children’s Names |Names must be visible in four places in the room such as cubbies, sign-in sheets, letter walls, | |

| |management charts, a writing center, etc. | |

|Journals |Make sure each child has a journal that is easily accessible. | |

|Books |Room has a wide variety of books easily accessible to children. | |
