Summer reading is an important element in preventing students' reading skills from diminishing over the long summer break. It is important to keep "flexing the reading muscles" in order to start the next school year as strong as possible. In order to promote students' summer reading, we have decided to take an approach that allows students to pick their own summer reading path.

NOTE: Junior or Senior students enrolled in an English AP class or the URI Course Cluster should refer to that class' specific summer reading requirement.

you want as long as it is school-appropriate,

meets the requirements noted above, and

meets your parents' approval and

expectations.

Assessment

You will take a formal assessment on your chosen book at the beginning of the 2021-22 school year to demonstrate your reading.

Assessment

You will complete a project-based assignment at the beginning of the 202122 school year to demonstrate your reading.
