BOOSTER CLUB WELCOME LETTER

Greetings Parents, Guardians and Students,

On behalf of the CBHS Girls Basketball Booster Club, we want to welcome you to another exciting season of basketball, and we would like to provide you with a brief introduction to the Booster Club.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE GIRLS BASKETBALL BOOSTER CLUB? The purpose of the Booster Club is to support the Varsity, JV and Freshman girls' teams. We are a nonprofit organization comprised solely of volunteers. We offer a variety of ways people can lend a hand and encourage everyone to participate whether in concessions sales, fundraising, and event planning. Through the donations of both time and finances, we are able to provide the girls such things as, team parties, t-shirts, game socks, lunches for away tournaments, and a terrific end-of-season banquet recognizing the girl's efforts through the season & much more.

WHO CAN JOIN THE BOOSTER CLUB? The Booster Club is made up of parents, players, siblings, grandparents, teachers, and others throughout the community. All are welcome, no experience is necessary!

HOW IS THE BOOSTER CLUB FUNDED? The Booster Club is funded through membership dues, donations from individuals and businesses, and through fundraising activities.

IF I JOIN, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? Once you pay your membership fee, you can decide how much time and what level of involvement you can provide. Our First Booster Club meeting will be held after the Parent Meeting scheduled on Thursday, November 5th at 7:15 pm via Zoom (Virtual). We welcome your ideas and your vote in decision-making.

The Board is excited to be working on your behalf to make this year's Basketball Program GREAT! Working together, we can make this a fun and memorable experience for our players!

Please consider supporting your daughter and the girls' basketball program by becoming a member and volunteering. Attached are several forms that require your attention, please have all forms completed and returned to your coach.

Clear Brook High School Girls Basketball Concession Stand Donations

It is that time of year to stock up our concession stand for the 2020-2021 Basketball season. This year the Booster Club will only be asking for drinks, other items for the concession stand will be purchased with Booster Club funds. If you would like to opt out of having to go purchase the items and haul to school, then you may do so by sending $30 to cover your donation. This is a mandatory donation, and the coaches will be checking off your daughter's name as the donations come in. Clear Brook High School Girls Basketball Locker Decorating Day November 14th, 2020

We will be decorating our girls' lockers to kick off the season and to create some excitement for them! Below are some helpful tips and examples from last year.

The locker dimensions are 26 ? H, and 10 ? W ? You can use one poster board and it will be enough for the top and the bottom locker ? just to give an idea of size. ? Decorations must be premade and all you will have to do is attach it to their lockers as we will be allowed to be in there for a few minutes due to Covid-19

Material suggestions to bring: command strips, zip ties, hot glue gun, tape, scissors.
