Hire Heroes USA empowers US military members, veterans and spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, services are provided at no cost to the veteran.

A Hire Heroes USA Veteran Transition Specialist (VTS) conducts veteran assessments, resume revisions, network training, LinkedIn profile reviews, interview skills training, and Transition Workshops. A VTS helps to educate clients on effective job search strategies and serves as their career coach throughout their job search.

1. The VTS will call to assess the assigned client. Assessments cover veteran's future career goals, barriers to employment, salary requirements, location preference, military service description, etc. to gain understanding of what the client wants and needs. They will then develop a job search strategy.

2. The VTS will create a new resume or revise the client's current resume. 3. The VTS will follow up routinely with clients to provide career coaching and additional resources

LinkedIn Assistance Industry Related Mock Interviews Industry Related Career Counseling Sessions Federal Resume Reviews Resume Tailoring Assistance Job Board Industry Specific Coaching General Job Search Counseling & Strategies Virtual Career Fairs Salary Negotiation Assistance Career Specific Webinars

4. The Veteran Transition Specialist will continue to work with assigned until their date of hire. Services are always continuous if Veteran needs further future assistance.

Onward to Opportunity/Veteran Career Transition Program Description

1. The Onward to Opportunity Coordinator will reach out to you regarding coaching for targeting and gaining the right coaching toward a specific industry including speaking directly with company and industry related professionals.

2. The Onward to Opportunity Coordinator then will provide you with career specific job matches with valued partnered employers after clients tailor their resume to the job description. The resumes are sent directly to the employer's Human Resource Staff/Talent Acquisition Department.
