COLD WAR CLASS ASSIGNMENT
Directions:
1. For this assignment, I want you to use your textbook (Chapters 26 and 28) and the ABC-CLIO database for American History. (Eras and Analyze) and a primary source document.
Also use:

The History Channel for additional sources.
(scroll down to The Cold War 1945-1960)
2. You may use other sources to find images for your presentation but be sure to use the sources above first.
3. Select a topic dealing with the Cold War from 1945-60’s.
4. Research the topic and prepare four-six slides in a google doc presentation for your class period.
5. The slides should give a good explanation of the topic. Try to think of this assignment as only having a few slides to capture the “big ideas” and iconic images of the topic.
6. You may use additional notes to help explain the topic. Just make sure you do not
have a large amount of text on each slide.
7. You should embed a primary source document in your presentation (this is an original source from the time period). Ex. newspaper article, letter, video footage, excerpts from a trial, a speech, etc.
8. You should be able to explain the topic to the class and show how it relates to the Cold War tensions.
9. You must include a bibliography for all sources used (minimum of three). This will not count as one of your slides.
