Early American Life
You are each assigned a broad topic of the 18th century or early 19th Century social history in America. Your responsibility is to create a thoughtful and provocative DBQ with at least SIX documents.
In order to complete this assignment successfully, you need to do the following.
1. First, write a question that incorporates the topic. An excellent question that is both narrow in its focus while also broad enough to allow student to make a strong and meaningful thesis.
2. Along with each document, you will write a ONE paragraph explanation of how each document fits into the overall scheme of the DBQ.
• Make sure that there is a rationale for each of the documents.
• Documents should not be randomly selected.
• Each document should serve a specific purpose in the thrust of the DBQ
3. All documents must have a citation that shows where you retrieved the document.
4. Bibliography needed for all books and sites used.
5. At least one of the documents needs to be a picture or some other images
6. At least three of documents must be textual.
