List of Summer Exchange Programme 2020 Recognized by the School of Business

Before applying:

1. Students are responsible for checking programme detailed information i.e. application deadline(s), duration of the programme, admission requirements (especially English language requirement), courses available, accommodation, programme fee and payment procedures. Students can seek assistance from BBA Programme Office during application procedures.

2. In general, students could only join the summer exchange programme as fee-paying students, i.e. without nomination by School/ University and would not receive any tuition waiver. For some programmes offering tuition waiver quota, nomination must be sought from BBA Programme Office.

When applying:

1. To keep track of your application status, please use your BU email address as corresponding email address for application. 2. You may be asked to provide the contact person information of home institution. Please contact Ms. Mandy Ma of the BBA Programme Office at 3411-7523 or

mandyma@hkbu.edu.hk if you have any enquiries.

After applying:

1. To facilitate your application of financial support, tuition waive (if applicable) and credit transfer process, students MUST inform BBA Programme Office your application of the programme by forwarding the confirmation email/receipt/official letter of acceptance to the BBA Programme Office (mandyma@hkbu.edu.hk) after submitting application to the host institution.

2. Please refer to the respective websites frequently for programme updates and closings. If there are any inconsistencies or discrepancies, information provided by the host institutions shall prevail.

Courses and Programmes Selection Requirement:

1. Some summer exchange programmes recognized by the School of Business (listed in the below table) allow free selection of programme duration/ packages/ number of course selected. To fulfill the application requirement of Global Experience Support Scheme and BBA Experiential Learning Graduation Requirement, students must successfully complete an at least 3 weeks (21 days) summer exchange programme recognized by the School of Business with academic and culture component. Intensive Language and culture programmes/ courses, online programmes, field camp programmes would NOT be recognized. If only languages and/or cultural courses are chosen from the available courses, the Summer Exchange Programme would not be recognized.

2. Please read carefully about the specific courses and programmes selection requirements of each programme listed in the below table. Please consult BBA Programme Office if you are unsure if a summer exchange programme could be recognized and be used to fulfill the graduation requirement.

Financial Support from the School of Business and the University:

1. Eligible students can apply for Global Experience Support Scheme for joining summer exchange programme recognized by the School of Business (listed in the below table). Students are required to submit the application forms and necessary documents on or before 5:30p.m., 7 February, 2020 (1st round)/ 5:30p.m., 4 May 2020 (2nd round). Please refer to the guideline HERE and download the application form HERE.

2. If you find any summer exchange programmes in the International Office's website which could fulfill the above courses and programmes selection requirement but not in the below recognition list, you are required to submit the programme details to BBA Programme Office for endorsement before the application deadline of Global Experience Support Scheme.

3. Please refer to the below recognition list for the amount of Global Experience Support Scheme-Exchange Scholarship for Outstanding Business Students (cGPA 3.00 or above) and Exchange Award for Business Students (cGPA 2.50-2.99).

4. For the Overseas Activity Sponsorship for Business Students (cGPA 2.20-2.49), the amount are as follows:

5. The University also provides scholarships and sponsorships for eligible students to join the summer exchange programme. Please visit HERE for more information.

After Exchange:

1. For transfer of units, please submit application form and supporting documents to Academic Registry after exchange. Application form is available HERE.

2. Students who intend to fulfill the graduation requirement by completing summer exchange programme, please check the requirement and application guideline

HERE. Only summer programmes recognized by School of Business could be used to fulfill the graduation requirement.
