[Pages:4]Weddings and Private Parties at Cogswell's Grant
Historic New England invites you to host your special event in this idyllic outdoor setting. Cogswell's Grant is a coastal farm of 165 acres located along the banks of the Essex River, just two miles inland from the Atlantic Ocean. As one of the largest land masses remaining in the Town of Essex that originated as a seventeenth-century land grant, it is an extremely significant historic agricultural landscape.
Today the landscape at Cogswell's Grant offers access to pristine marshland, rolling hayfields, and beautiful views of the river stretching to the sea.
The grounds at Cogswell's Grant can accommodate up to 120 guests for a tented event.
We schedule one event per day, which allows you maximum flexibility in arranging a party. Each event is allotted eight hours, with five hours for your event and the balance for event preparation and breakdown. Our staff is experienced in planning functions and will assist you in every way possible.
