Arrival Date and Directions to UCEAP Orientation

You are recommended to fly into Dublin International Airport. Please ensure your flight arrives in time for the beginning of Orientation, which begins promptly at 3pm on the 8th of September.

Dublin Airport to the Holiday Inn Express on Upper O'Connell Street:

By Taxi: Costs 20-25. Hassle-free and worth the cost if you have a lot of luggage. If you are arriving later in the evening, we strongly recommend purchasing a taxi directly to the hotel.

By Bus: Costs 7. The Airlink Bus 747 towards Heuston Rail Station will take you from the Dublin Airport to Dublin city centre. You can get off at Cathal Brugha Street, where the hotel is just across the road.

If you are travelling to Dublin from another city in the UK or Ireland, or from Shannon Airport, and would like information on how to get to the orientation, please contact adundon@sc.eap.ucop.edu.

Day 1: 8 September, 2019 Please meet promptly at 3:00pm at the Holiday Inn Express reception.

1. A quick welcome session, where you will meet UCEAP Edinburgh staff and other UC students on your programme.

2. ESC staff will give presentations on Health and Safety, Student Welfare, and Irish Culture.

3. Group dinner.

Day 2: 9 September, 2019 Breakfast will be included at the Holiday Inn Express. Students should be ready to check out by 9:00am. UCEAP will provide shared taxis directly to the IPA for the internship orientation. Host families will collect students from the IPA at the end of the day.
