MAKE CHANGE WITH A DOLLAR
How you can help end the Braille literacy crisis in America: The 2009 Louis Braille Bicentennial Silver Dollar will be on sale throughout our convention. It is the first coin minted in the United States to have tactile, readable Braille on it. For each coin sold, the National Federation of the Blind will receive $10 to use for Braille literacy programs. Each coin purchase is an investment in the education of blind children and adults. Please be sure to visit our Louis Braille Coin sales table and pick up some of these commemorative coins for gifts and/or keepsakes!
Members of NFBI wish to thank the following donors for their generous gifts:
Mr. Harold W. Knapheide III, in honor of his mother, the late Mary McDill Knapheide
The National Federation of the Blind Imagination Fund
Richard Lansden, trustee, The Leona Stanford Vollintine Charitable Trust
J. Milton Harris/Alice Chenault Foundation
The Aileen S. Andrew Foundation
Walter M. Florie Jr., Board Member, Earl B. and Loraine H. Miller Foundation
