The Yamaha EF2000iSV2 and A-IPower SC2000i, are remarkably similar. They both have the same power output and both the Yamaha and A-IPower SC2000i are able to link with another of the same model to increase power output.

Both generators make excellent portable power solutions. One obvious difference between the two is the price. The A-IPower SC2000i is considerably cheaper at Costco and other Big Box stores. BUT REMEMBER YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!! The Yamaha EF2000iSV2 portable generator is a proven unit over the years. When it is time to provide power, do you really want to take a gamble and hope your unit will work or last????

Don't be fooled by the color and YAMAHA name on their unit. It is powered by YAMAHA'S legendary engines. This engine model is specifically made for their unit. And only they can provide you with parts and warranty work. Currently NO YAMAHA Dealer in our state will touch that unit for repair, warranty or service work. So you are buying a cheap unit! Whether it works or not or will be able to be serviced is the question.

The Yamaha EF2000iSV2 is two pounds lighter than the A-IPower SC2000i and is 13.5 decibels quieter on the economy load!

As a Yamaha Dealer, we will also prep the unit for you with the correct Oil, Non Ethanol Gas, and show you how to use it and maintain it (if you prefer). ALL AT NO CHARGE!!!!! Or you can still just buy it in the box and prep it yourself when you are ready. Box Stores and Costco?? This service is not available. So you don't know if your unit will work or run when you take it home. And you will need to read the instructions on how to operate it. No one there to answer your questions. We also register your unit for you with Yamaha so your Warranty Coverage is activated automatically. We do all the work. So you don't have too.
