Of all the aspects of wood furniture, the finish most visibly reflects its character, quality and style. While the finish is one of the last things we do, it's the first thing you see. That's why at Hooker, we utilize a multiplestep finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through handcraftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes "feel" as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.

Wood & Veneer Construction

Many of our furniture items are constructed of hardwood solids and veneers or hand-painted finishes over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture. Due to a wide variety of wood species and decorative designs used in our furniture styles, variations in construction are possible.

Combining the reclaimed look of the Mountain Modern finish with warm brushed brass, the Curata wine server is a striking focal point that is as functional as it is stylish. Storage includes shelves behind two doors, open shelves and three drawers. Wine bottle storage features chic leather straps. 72 and 62-inch round dining tables combine the Mountain Modern finish on top with a plated black nickel base. Chair options include an upholstered barrel chair, ladder back side and arm chairs and a klismos chair.
