|Summary |

One of the achievements I am most proud of to date is being brought into the TK Maxx Castleford warehouse operation to bring their IT operations up to date. Upon arrival the typical office machine was running Windows 2000 whilst their shop floor systems were usually un-networked/standalone Windows 98 machines with the documents/operations being transferred by floppy disk. I wasted no time in installing a Windows 2008r2 domain server integrating WSUS to update the connected workstations, WDS to deploy builds, Active Directory and Group Policy to deploy software and policies, Platespin and Hyper-V to migrate aged NT4.0 application servers to a reliable infrastructure and networking the entire infrastructure upgrading existing equipment. I upgraded the majority of the hardware in the offices and shop floor and pushed out Windows XP clients with group policies including a default installation of office and a centrally managed Antivirus solution. I also rolled out a new wireless infrastructure enabling new barcoding equipment to update the stock database. I was responsible for my own resources including project management and a set budget. All work was completed within 6 months.

Other achievements include bespoke programming for Leeds City council to aid the helpdesk in the new Netapp storage solution and locating users home drive and scanner CIFS locations. Working for TD Waterhouse Investment Bank I worked on several projects again at times managing most of my own resources working on around 12 projects over a 13-14 month period. I worked together with Technical Architects, Project Managers, Vendors, Suppliers and end users to produce project solutions for the business.

I always ensure I am professional, have a proactive approach and can do attitude to all challenges presented.
