Our Story
My name is Tammie Topel. I founded K.I.D.S. Plus in 1996. We adopted our son Brandon, who was diagnosed with Autism, at a very young age. As Brandon was growing up, we found a need for local recreation and sports programs which allowed children with developmental disabilities the opportunity to exercise and have social opportunities with their peers in a structured therapeutic environment. Our early research indicated that there were very few activities for children with special needs and programs that did exist were very costly for families to participate in. It was our intention to develop activities for special needs children at little or no cost to their families and that's when K.I.D.S. Plus was born.
Our vision for KIDS PLUS is to continue to provide services for the special needs community and advance the Supported Group Home entity completing the cycle
for the individuals and their family.

Dedicated to researching, creating and providing developmental sports programs and structured recreational activities that promote, through participation, the physical,
social and emotional well-being of children with developmental disabilities; as well as respite for their
families.
From our humble beginning
Our vision for KIDS PLUS is to continue to provide services for the special needs community and advance to the Supported Group Home entity completing the cycle for the individual and their family.
