Julie Meador sent this request to us.  “I’m sending this to let you know some news we have received.  Tory’s first cousin, Brian Creamer, just learned that their infant son (Hunter, turned ONE on 3/11/2010), has stage IV Neuroblastoma Cancer and is in Children’s Hospital.  Brian and his Wife, Marilyn, lost their first child, a little boy named Tyler, at birth.  They have been through numerous miscarriages and Hunter has been their miracle baby.  We are all devastated.  Hunter’s hip broke due to a large mass on it that fractured the bone.  Two days ago we learned that the cancer did not originate there, but rather in a very large mass between his kidney and his spleen.  The mass is so large that surgery is not an option at this point, inasmuch as it it entangled around some vital nerves and the spleen.  They are going to do chemo in an attempt to shrink the mass so that surgery may be possible in the future.  We know that the cancer is already in his little bones and yesterday they took bone marrow from both hips to see if it is already in the marrow. If not, that will be the first encouraging sign we have received, but won’t have test results for several days.  We do know that this is going to be a long, painful, and scary ride and that this family is need all of the prayers you guys can come up with.  His name is Hunter Creamer and the family lives in Jemison.  Would you guys please pray for him and have your church families list him on their prayer chains?  I can say on a positive note that Children’s Hospital has the best staff anyone could ever ask for.  They are so understanding and nice that it is refreshing to see the care in each of their faces. They really do care and the children are not just a chart to them. May God Bless those people who work there!”

Julie also writes, “Melanie Miller is a doctor friend of mine and has 3 kids including her 2 week old – they just removed a large mass from behind her neck/back and think it may be cancerous.  She is scared to death and is requesting prayers.  She lives in Trussville. Thanks.”

Melinda Gargiulo sent the following note from Jessi Allen.  “Jessica gave me permission to share the good news that Barry, her fiancé finished his "two weeks in hell training" and was indeed chosen for Special Forces!  While part of me wishes his future held something not quite so dangerous, we know that this was his goal and we are very proud of him.  He will train for two years at Fort Benning and then be assigned to a new post.  He should find out very quickly (possibly as early as today) where they will be stationed once training is complete.  Thank you so much for your prayers on his behalf!!  An additional note, Donna and Paul are headed home early tomorrow morning.”  Praise God!
