-93345-19240500CSG Playgroup Newsletter November 26th 2018This week at playgroupDear Parents and CarersLast week saw Lucy leave us, we wish her the very best at Robertswood School and Nursery. We were lucky to have Jenny from Under the Canopy Forest School join us at Woodland Warriors for Lucy’s last day. The children enjoyed the fire, marshmallows, hot chocolate and lots of activities based around “The Leaf Man”. We also had a German lesson on Wednesday with me (Sarah). The children learnt some German colours and played games to practise saying and hearing the new words. The children really enjoyed the session and I was very impressed with how quickly they picked up the new words. We will have more German sessions before the end of term. Playgroup are very keen to have outside businesses run sessions, so if you have any ideas or know anyone who might be interested in running a taster session then please let us know.CHRISTMAS Please can all children bring in a small box wrapped and filled with rice or pasta. This will be used as part of our Christmas “show”The main focus for the rest of the half term will be preparing for the Christmas show on Saturday 8th December. The children are busy practising and singing lots of Christmas songs which hopefully they will be singing with you at home. We will send out an email with some of the words this week for those of you who like a sing song! The Christmas show will start promptly at playgroup 9:30am (please arrive at 9:15)There will be a short “show” and then an opportunity for refreshments and a raffle.At 10am you will leave the children and there will be a Christmas party for tem (including a drink and a snack)Please be back at 10:45 for Santa to deliver his presents to the children.PLEASE INFORM TRISH IF YOUR CHILD IS NOT ATTENDING.Raffle PrizesThanks to those parents who have supplied raffle prizes already – we could do with a few more! We will begin to sell tickets next week and we will be selling them on the day! Please encourage family members and friends to but tickets and raise as much money as possible for playgroup. We will be holding a raffle at our Xmas show and we are looking for donations for prizes. We would be grateful for any of the following, toiletry gift sets, Xmas food items, wine, spirits, chocolates, local business vouchers. Please pass on any donations to the staff at playgroup. Thanks to those parents who have already donated chocolates! We also have a hamper from Native Beef and Core Fitness!BABYDAYSCan all parents please look on Babydays and ensure that all policies, permissions and contracts are signed. If you are having problems with Babydays please let us know.
