MAIN JOB PURPOSE

The Event Sales Executive is responsible for handling and converting incoming event leads for the Brewery, before managing the client through the event planning process, assisting the client up until the day of the event.

PRINCIPAL ACOUNTABILITIES

1. To effectively sell the smaller event spaces at the Brewery, by liaising with clients on a re-active basis in an attempt to win new business for the venue.

2. To take ownership of an event from the first point of enquiry, through the sale process, managing the planning up to the day of the event, handing over to the Operations team on the day of the event. Once the event has finished, to produce the final invoice and conduct a debrief on the success of the event.

3. Conduct pricing and contract negotiation in line with The Brewery’s sales strategy to increase the utilisation of the venue’s event space.

4. Host clients for site visits, menu tastings, event logistics meetings and other on and offsite hospitality to win business and develop account relationships.

5. Develop a thorough understanding of the various services offered by The Brewery, in order to support clients in as much of the event planning as is required (e.g. food and beverage choices, AV and theme requirements).

6. To identify any opportunities for further account development and work alongside the Business Development team to increase the yield from key accounts.

7. Ad-hoc sales and marketing duties, including client entertaining, attending networking events and exhibitions and menu tastings as required by the Event Sales Director.

8. Work closely with all departments to plan and deliver successful events, with responsibility for producing all the internal documentation required to deliver each event.

Person Specification

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will display passion and drive for the events industry and have some event sales experience, i.e. in a venue or events company. Alternatively they must have a degree and demonstrate suitable transferable skills from previous employment roles.
