Hotel Accommodation Information for the University of Kansas Medical Center

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology does NOT provide hotel accommodations. However we recommend these hotels that provide discounted rates for applicants for KU residency programs.

The Q Hotel is located on the Country Club Plaza as well. We have a negotiated rate of $75 per night, but you need to contact Donald Ray at the number above and specify that you are interviewing with the "KU Diagnostic Radiology Program". The Q offers free breakfast, free evening cocktails between 5-7 p.m., free shuttle to most area attractions, free passes to Gold's Gym around the corner, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and free parking.

The Homestead Hotel is located on the Country Club Plaza (about 10 minutes from KU). The Plaza area offers shopping and a variety of restaurants. Homestead offers a discounted rate of $65-85 per night (plus tax). To get this rate please call the hotel directly at 816-531-2212 "press 0" for the guest service representative. You must tell the reservationist that you are interviewing with the residency program at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Since these rooms are being used by several of our residency programs at KU we suggest you make your reservation as soon as possible to ensure availability. You will need a taxi from the hotel to the Medical Center.

The Holiday Inn Express is conveniently located across Rainbow Blvd from the Hospital. There is not a negotiated rate, but specifying you are interviewing with University of Kansas Hospital will get you a 10% discount on the current advertised rate.

Oak Tree Inn is located on Rainbow Blvd at Southwest Blvd, down the street from the Hospital. There is no negotiated rate, but it is close to KU.
