It is set up to encode video from all our available sources (PABMC, Dem Broadcast , Capital CATV services) and feed content to our streaming media servers (PUBLIC, PULICCLS, WebApp-dev, MediaServices2).Connecting to PUBLICVIDEO:You will need to connect to the PUBLICVIDEO console session by running MSTSC /admin: when the drop –down choice of servers appears: Click the options button on the lower left.Choose the Local Resources tab and click the Remote Audio settings buttonYou will need to select Play on Remote ComputerIf you do not do this, when you try to begin an encoding session you will get an error that No Audio Devices exist and you will need to log-off and try again.Click OK and Connect to the Console session. **You must disconnect from the session when you are finished rather than log out so that the encoders will continue to run**Logon to the server using the HDNT/PUBLICVIDEOCONSOLE account. The password is saved on the passwords spreadsheet.Encoders: Flash Media Encoder for – Windows Media Encoder for HDNTAll encoder software is pinned to the start menu, select the encoder you want to start based on the stream you want to create.Flash Media Encoder 3 – This version of FME is used to push a stream to the new Windows Server 2008 cluster nodes PUBLICA and PUBLICB (PUBLICCLS)Encoding profiles have been saved to the app data folder – once you open the encoder software you will get an error about screen resolution, simply click o.k. and ignore this warning. Then click File open profile and select the profile of the stream you want to start.
