They were first discovered in Arizona in Lake Mead on January 6, 2007. How they entered Lake Mead is unknown, but most likely they were transported on the hull of a recreational boat. Quagga are currently found in Lake Mead, Lake Mohave, Lake Havasu, the Colorado River below Lake Havasu, the Central Arizona Project canal (CAP) and Lake Pleasant. ................
