Delete Temporary Internet FilesWhen you are on iRecord, your browser stores content from the visited screens on your system. This is a browser feature that facilitates quicker viewing of the frequently visited screens. The drawback is that any updates to the application may not be immediately available to you. So, it is pertinent to clear the browser of temporary internet files after an update notification. This ensures that the page is loaded with the updated features.Note: This feature may also be implemented for workaround of certain issues.Here, we discuss the procedure to delete the temporary internet files on 3 separate browsers.Google ChromeInternet ExplorerMozilla FirefoxGoogle ChromeOpen Google Chrome.Click the button, indicated below, to view Chrome menu options.Go to Settings.Click Show advanced settings.The advanced settings controls are shown. Under the Privacy section, click Clear browsing data.Ensure Cached images and files and Cookies and other site and plugin data check boxes are selected. Note: If you wish to clear other kinds of stored data, select the appropriate check box(es).Ensure that the correct time period is also selected. (Hint: Select the period of iRecord usage from your previous clear of browsing data.)Click Clear browsing data. LISTNUM \l 1 \s 0 Internet ExplorerOpen Internet Explorer (IE).Click Tools on the Menu Bar.(Hint: For an unavailable Menu Bar, press ALT on the keyboard.)Click Delete browsing history on the Tools options.Ensure that you select the check boxes for Temporary Internet Files and website files and Cookies and website data.(You should also select Preserve Favorites website data if the iRecord application is stored as a favorite on IE.)Note: If you wish to clear other kinds of stored data, select the appropriate check box(es).You will get a confirmation at the bottom of the window once it has successfully cleared your cache and cookies. LISTNUM \l 1 \s 0 Mozilla FirefoxOpen Mozilla Firefox.Click Tools on the Menu Bar and then click Options.(Hint: For an unavailable Menu Bar, press ALT on the keyboard.)ORClick the Menu icon (indicated below) and then Options, as shown below.Click Privacy on the Options tab.Click Clear your recent history.(Hint: In case this does not show up, it means that Firefox does not remember history. You can change this setting on Firefox will: drop-down in the History section.)Ensure Cache and Cookies check boxes are selected. Note: If you wish to clear other kinds of stored data, select the appropriate check box(es).Ensure that the correct time period is also selected. We would also recommend that you use this mode while accessing iRecord on public computers or shareable systems. Once you are done working on iRecord on such a system, close the browser before leaving so that the temporary internet files are also deleted.Below, view the private browsing mode for the three aforementioned browsers.Google ChromeClick the button, indicated below, and then click New incognito window. Enter the iRecord login URL within the address bar of the new incognito window. The incognito window is identified by the character, indicated in the figure below.
