Bates is happy to announce that we have made it possible for Bates College personnel, students, and their families to secure the services of LifeLock, a leading identity theft protection service. LifeLock services include both the protection against identity theft and a $1 million service guarantee should an actual identity theft occur. If you enroll, LifeLock will immediately place fraud alert requests at the three major credit bureaus and will automatically renew them every 90 days. You will receive initial documentation that these alerts are in place, along with copies of your credit reports. LifeLock will also provide other services as outlined on their Web site, including stopping unsolicited credit card offers and other junk mail, help if your wallet is stolen, and other services. Type in batesfamily into the promotion code box (under the box that says PLAN INFORMATION) and click on Apply.

Screens will show the discounted rate of $66 and request your credit card number. (The fee is $66 per adult family member that you wish to cover)

Fill out information on the form.

When asked for a password, please do *not* use your Bates password.

Complete by acknowledging terms and conditions and clicking on Sign me up for LifeLock.

After completing the application, you will be asked to provide additional information on each adult you wish to cover, including address, cell phone number, social security number, e-mail address and a security question. Full enrollment does not happen until this information has been provided to LifeLock. This information can be provided on the Web site or via a secure link from an e-mail you receive later from the company.
