Possible Side Effects of Carboplatin, Trastuzumab, and Docetaxel (Table Version Date: April 28, 2021)COMMON, SOME MAY BE SERIOUSIn 100 people receiving Carboplatin, Trastuzumab, and Docetaxel, more than 20 and up to 100 may have:Allergic reaction which may cause rash, low blood pressure, wheezing, shortness of breath, swelling of the face or throatShortness of breath, coughInfection, especially when white blood cell count is lowBruising, bleedingAnemia which may cause tiredness, or may require blood transfusionsSwelling of the body which may cause shortness of breathVomiting, diarrhea, nausea, weight lossSores in mouth which may cause difficulty swallowingTirednessFever, headache, chills, weaknessPain in musclesWatering, itchy eyesHair lossChange in nailsRash, itchingOCCASIONAL, SOME MAY BE SERIOUSIn 100 people receiving Carboplatin, Trastuzumab, and Docetaxel, from 4 to 20 may have:Damage to the heart or heart failure which may cause shortness of breath, swelling of ankles, cough or tirednessChest painAbnormal heart rate, which may cause faintingHigh blood pressure which may cause dizziness, blurred visionDamage to the lungs, and in rare cases scarring of the lungs, which may cause shortness of breathLiver damage which may cause yellowing of eyes and skinSores in the mouth which may cause difficulty swallowingConstipation, belly pain, bloating loss of appetiteNumbness, pain, or tingling in fingers and toesDifficulty sleepingFlu-like symptoms including body achesChanges in tasteRARE, AND SERIOUSIn 100 people receiving Carboplatin, Trastuzumab, and Docetaxel, 3 or fewer may have:Damage of the bone marrow, caused by chemotherapy, which may lead to cancer of bone marrow (leukemia)Kidney damage, which may require dialysisVisual lossDifficulty with hearingStevens-Johnson syndrome which may cause severe skin rash with blisters and peeling which can involve inside of mouth and other parts of the bodyPatients should be aware that Docetaxel may cause them to become intoxicated from the alcohol it contains. Patients should avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing other activities that are dangerous within one to two hours after the infusion of Docetaxel. In addition, some medications, such as pain relievers and sleep aids, may interact with the alcohol in the Docetaxel infusion and worsen the intoxicating effects. ................
