Parts in a toaster

• Heating element

• Spring

• Bread rack

• Heat sensor

• Timing mechanism/browning control= regulating knob, calibrating spindle.

• Electromagnet

• Nuts

• Bolt

• Toaster shell

Materials and their Largest Producers:

• The heating element is made of bimetallic strips. Bimetallic strips are made out of two different strips of metal: steel and copper. Largest producers of steel are China, Japan, Russia and USA. Copper is mined in Chile.

• Calibrating spindle is typically made out of aluminum. The largest producer of aluminium is Russia.

• Heating element is made out of nichrome wire. Nichrome wire is nickel and chromium resistance wire. The Largest producer of nichrome is Russia. The largest producer of chromium is India. The largest producer of nickel is in London, Ontario.

• Spring is made out of hardened steel. The largest producer of the hardened steel strip is in New Delhi.

• Metal is used throughout the toaster in things like screws, nuts, bolts and washers. The Major producers of metal are Australia, China and India.

• The toaster shell is made of plastic. The major exporter producer of plastic is at the Great International Exhibition in London, England.

Toaster rap lyrics:

Toaster! (toaster)

Most ballin’ of the roasters!

Pour yourself a drink and set it down on a coaster.

Toaster! (toaster)

It cooks bread white black or brown,

I’ve never found a colour that I didn’t like all round.

I am the heating element I make toasters hot.

I use two kinds of metals steel and copper that’s a lot.

Some of steels producers include China, Russia and Japan.

If I’m not there getting metals I am getting a sun tan!

Now we’re onto copper which is mined in Chilli,

You won’t find those kinds of mines when you’re down in Philly.

I’m a calibrating spindle, and I’m a toaster shell.

We both cover the toaster that lets out a delicious smell.

We both are made of a metal called aluminum.

If you’re wondering where they made us, Russia’s where I’m from.

What really heats the toaster is something called nichrome wire

It’s a mix of two kinds of metals that could really start a fire

Found in India and Russia metals called nickel and chromium

If I’m not there finding metals I am out eating dim sum

We are made of metals we are washers, bolts and nuts.

Found all over the coaster we really hold up the hut.

We are made in many spots especially Australia, India and China.

Of you can’t find us there don’t worry we’ll come find ya!

Finally there’s the spring made of hardened steel.

That’s my favourite kind of metal because it has the most appeal.

The biggest maker of those strips is found in New Delhi.

Without the spring there’d be no toast for peanut butter and jelly.

Toaster! (toaster)

Most ballin’ of the roasters!

Pour yourself a drink and set it down on a coaster.

Toaster! (toaster)

It cooks bread white black or brown,

I’ve never found a colour that I didn’t like all round.
