ANSWERS FROM BELARUS

1. Future is our tomorrow. It is what we are expected.

2. We see our country to be peaceful, rich without any war and terrorism.

We want to finish our favorite school with success and to continue our education in best higher establishments.

3. We think our school education can influence our future because school is the first step in learning life. Studying at school we try to be good at subjects, to widen our outlook, to participate in different activities.

4. Our perspectives depend on us first all. Maybe other different circumstances influence on our perspectives, for example, surroundings we live in, school atmosphere, family relashionship and also conditions we are.

5. We can be more active in daily life, develop our ability and talent participating in out of class activities at school and in the city. In such a way we can make our future better.

How do you understand the meaning of the word future?

What can we do to make our future better?

In the dictionary, the word future means "any time or state that is to come." But that doesn't necessarily mean that this definition is what everyone sees in their point of view. My definition of future means the generation of tomorrow, the children growing into the adolescence period and into the beyond. It may not mean that to everyone, but it is my perspective because I think it is important. What can we do to help make the future better? There are multiples of things I could name off right now that could help create a better future. One of the issues that all countries have problems with their recycling. All it takes is putting the plastic, glass, and paper in a separate bag and putting it in a different trash bin. Another issue is the conflict about war. Especially the war between USA and Iraq. We spend money on guns, food, and other supplies when all of this can be settled peacefully. With all these other things in future, how can the USA live in peace? Maybe trying with effort is a great start.

-Tiffanie

I can see my future in several ways. I see myself doing homework all the time until it is very late. I also see my future with me becoming a good drum player from all the practice I am doing. Also, I can see my country's future in ways I see my future. I see my country raising taxes in the future due to money loss. I see my country bonding with other countries to make it a better world.

-Daniel

I understand the meaning of the word future is by something that is going to happen later in the years. I can make the future better by developing a group of the subject. To make the world better I could keep up my grades and maybe someday I will run for mayor or something. But for now what to make the future better is to have a good education I maybe will come up with a cure or something.

-Simone

How do you see your future? Your country's future?

I see my future by using what knowledge I have right now. I use the information I have of my families past. I combine them to get my future. Sometimes I don't need to use my family's history to tell mine. For example, if my family had a bad life in ever generation, then I could tell that my life would be bad too. If my family always had a good life in ever generation, then so would I. If there were half and half of each then my life would have some good parts and some bad ones. Right now I think that I am a smart person. Usually a smart person has a great life. If I weren't smart my life wouldn't be great. It would be a disaster. I would probably be a beggar in the streets asking for food or for money. Even if I'm smart I my still have a bad future because other things have an effect on my life. If I get hit by a car then I would die and not have a life anymore.

As for my country's future it would be a lot like mine. Depending how it is now and was a long time ago will be how my country's future will be. The United States has a great history. In the past everyone wanted to be in the United States. It was a place of freedom. With that in mind I know that the United States will have a future unlike any other country. I think that the United States will be the strongest country in the world. Every other country will be feared when they decide to oppose us or insult us. Our political power will be unstoppable. Our country will be like the Garden of Eden. It will be peaceful and everyone will want to come knowing that their country is nothing compared to ours.

-Roger

How can your school education influence your future?

I think my future is very important. My education plays a big role because without my education, I could not get into college. This would result in my future job or career being a poor one. I would have no job to look forward to and I would have to always depend on my friends and family. Sooner or later, I would have to stop and get a job. Even though I might find one, it would probably be enough to barely rent an apartment. However, education will change this future for me. I will find a job or career suitable for me (depending on how long I decide to stay in college). I hope I will be able to purchase a house and live a peaceful life. Actually, this is not really a hope; it's a thing that I know I will be able to do, for with education on my side, I can't lose!

-Dylan P

First of all, attending elementary, middle, and high school is mandatory in the U.S., in order to give everyone a chance to learn. When a person is educated, there is more chance of him/her to go to a college and get a job. Like we all know, school educations are basic things you have to know in order to learn and achieve more things. With no school education, it'll be impossible to get decent jobs. You can't even get a job as a truck driver, because you need to have the basic learning skills to master the rules of driving to get a license. Like this, school educations are huge parts of everyone's lives here. Your whole life depends on your school education sometimes.

-Yu Jin

School education can influence your future because you learn basic skills such as reading and writing. These skills are important for whatever you choose to do in the future. For example, if you want to be a successful lawyer or a teacher you have to know how to read and write.

School education is also important because it offers you other education, like science, history, and math. For instance if you want to be a scientist you have to learn the scientific methods so you can get a good answer for your question and for the experiments you have to know your measurements. Also, you have to know what happened in the past because you can learn from the past. Without school education people would not have the necessary skills to make any progress.

-Jessica

The way I understand the word future is to look ahead of time. The way we can make our future better is by driving less because cars make smog. The smog

makes the air polluted. And by that our health is deteriorated. Also, there should

be jobs available when we graduate college. The companies should manufacture

The products here instead of overseas. By doing this, there should be enough jobs for us.

-Andrew

My school education influences me in a lot of ways. It helps me get a better job in the future. My future depends on my school education. So, my school education is what happens in my future.

-Derek S

What do our perspectives depend on?

There is a saying that, "No two people think alike." Depending on the person, everyone has their own individual ways of thinking. This leads to unique mental views or outlooks, which are the perspectives that define a person. A person's perspective depends on several factors. Most importantly, a person's culture, social status, and parental upbringing influence the perspectives a person may have. For example, I would vote for Kerry because of the upbringing I had in California, a largely democratic state, which has influenced my view on the presidential candidates. On the other hand, someone from the Midwest would likely vote for Bush for similar reasons. In other words, it is the environment a person grows up that shapes how an individual perceives specific issues

-Eric C

Our perspectives depend on what every individual believes in. There will be different people that think about different kinds of things, but that just means that they may not agree with the same things you do. You mainly want to depend on the things that many other people believe in. if others agree with something that you depend on, then that could be what your perspective depends on. We all should agree on certain things but we don't want to agree with bad ideas or beliefs because that wouldn't be something that you can depend on.

-Aaron Figueroa

Our perspectives or point of view usually depends on what kind of way or how you think of the world. As in if you have a religious believe of some kind then you would have a point of view in your religious direction. If you don't believe in any religious beliefs then you just get your perspectives either from your family or your friends. As in either what your parents or other family members tell you, you usually just listen to them and start thinking it their way. But if you are the kind of person your friends respect then you usually would just listen to them for a change. But if you just like to stay with your own reasoning then nothing would influence you on what other people wants you to think. As in nothing would change your mind about something. This is usually what your perspectives depend on. It is different for everybody. If everyone were to have the same perspective, then the world would be a terrible place to live since everybody listens to everybody. As this goes on, nothing would change the world thus making destruction upon the world and the future would be a predictable thing to know.

-Calvin L

My future goal is to either be a doctor or to be a lawyer. I think that my perspectives depended on my family and the friends around us. In the Chinese people's eyes, doctors and lawyers make the most money. And since most of my parents' friends were doctor, lawyer, or engineer, I feel like being on of them when I grow up. Thinking that I might be able to save people by being a doctor or lawyer, I really became into reaching my goal.

How do you understand the meaning of the word future?

What can we do to make our future better?

How I understand the meaning of future is that future is later on in your life. Anything can happen to you any second. Future is what is going to happen to you. Our future depends on us, who will we be? The things that we can do to make our future better is we should never do anything wrong, otherwise we will regret it. If we do something wrong, our future will go bad. I think that we should always be good and nothing bad will happen to your future. This is what I think our future will be like

-Deeya

I understand the meaning of the word future as what I will be and what will happen, to me the future is a chance. The future is a chance for everything, anything you do right now will lead and resolve in the future. We can do many things to make our future better. For example, carpooling more often is a way to make our future less polluted. Recycling is a way to keep the environment healthy for our use. Not only can we make the future better in the ecosystem, but also politically. The increase in technology can help in the government and prevent many problems. There are many ways to help change the future for the better.

- Henry

I believe that the word future is the outcome of the choices that people make. The input you put into things determines what's going to happen in the future. For example, if you don't put much effort (input) into a project of some sort, you're most likely not going to earn a good grade (output). To make our future better, we should construct more electric cars so the air won't be filled with pollutants. Another thing we could do to make the future better would be to persuade everyone not to discriminate anybody, that way we can have a peaceful world with no haters.

- Evelyn

I agree that our future depends on us. I look at the future as our decision to make it the best or just fail your life. This means that if you want to succeed, you must do your best, not just hope you will succeed. If you choose to fail your life, it means you have ruined it. I don't mean that making mistakes in your life is bad. I mean, if you are stupid enough to do something you know that isn't right, you might just ruin your whole life. For example, if you take on drugs, you have just ruined part or all of your life.

I see the future as a thing we choose our self. No one picks our way of thinking or anything. Everything you do is what you choose to do, not someone else. I see my country's future as a free country with many opportunities in store for the people that are smart enough to make the right decisions in life.

My school education influences my future by teaching most of the basic skills you will need in the real world. This is very important to our future if we want to get a good life. So, whatever you do, stay in school!

Our perspectives depend on how we think. For example, if we think we have to stay in school, not just because of your parents, we might think of ourselves as people who are smart and determined. Other people, like gangsters, may think that life is just a joke.

We can do a lot of things to make our future better. For example, if we choose to not take drugs, that will be one of the best decisions you will probably make in your whole life. We can stay in school, and get a good education. We can yearn for things, but not be greedy, despiteful, and other things. These are only a few things you can do to make your future better. You will find out more of the things you can and can't do in life when you get older. If you stay honest and respectful towards anyone, your life would be the best experience.

-Richard

How do you see your future? Your country's future?

How I see my future is as a doctor when I grow up.I would like to help people instead of just making money. I would be a pediatrician and work with sick children. My future will be hard to get to.If I work hard I will probably accomplish it.

My country's future,USA, is in great shape.President Bush probably will help Iraq to its freedom in the future.USA will probably grow stronger to put a stop to terroists. When he does the world will be safe from them again.OUr country's future could not go wrong.

-Heidi

I have hopes about my life and the United States. Hopefully, I will become a pediatric nurse and have a happy life overall.I would like to have a future in pediatric nursing because I love babies because those babies are representing new ideas and might become leaders of this country. They bring a new life with unique features and brilliant ideas that will make the United States a better place. In addition, I see the United states with high hopes that will be succeeded over time. Hopefully, our country will gain trust and peace with other countries. People will soon figure out a way to get rid of the waste without polluting right through the ozone layer. Although I can't tell the future, this is my opinion on my life and our country.

-Alonna

I see my future and my country's future something to look forward to. I look forward to my future because I know that in the future, there won't be people there to tell us what to do and what laws to follow. It is up to us to improve the future of this country. It is up to us to control the economy of this country. And it is up to us to be the future of this country. That is the reason why we have to learn now and control later.

-Kevin C

I see my country's future falling, though it is the strongest nation at this time. Already it has been becoming weaker with economic problems and has dealt with troubles as the Roman Empire did before it's great fall. Many countries do not think well of the U.S. these days, making it difficult to make allies. Also, our country is beginning to break apart with many disagreements. If my country does not fall I see it will be controlled over a dictator. The dictator I assume will be Arnold Swarznager who is now the governor of our state, California. He, being born in Germany, will change the Constitution, which now states that any man that is president must be born in the United States, and will run for president in the next presidential election. Other than the political problems, pollution all over the world is harmful. Hopefully, more people will use electrical cars to lower the pollution. I do not see anything in my future and will never know until the future is present. The

future will always be awaiting us with time.

-Barbara

How do you see your future? Your country's future?

I see my future as a fog that will never clear up, and I will never know what is beyond the bend. To me, the future is a mystery that can never be revealed to us, only that we have to wait and find out what is going to happen next. If there were a time machine so that we could go into the future, what excitement would the future be to us then? We would already know everything that is going to happen. I think that my country's future is going to be very successful, since we already are so successful today. The United States probably will be the first country to accomplish many things, only because it is so big. Hopefully, the U.S. won't turn into a second "Hitler."

How can your school education influence your future?

When you go to school, many different people are interacting with you and giving you advice, help, and sometimes unwanted influence. When you go to school, your main goal is to get an education, which you do, and that education helps decide what kind of a job you can have and what kind of respect you will earn as a member of society. The other students that you meet at school might help you reach your goals or keep you from succeeding in life. This is why it is important to choose your friends carefully and why teachers should be aware of what kind of an influence people have on other people. School is important to help you succeed in life, but you should be aware of the people that might keep you from succeeding.

- Cynthia L

School education is crucial to your future because knowledge can provide you a job, wisdom, better life, and many other things. ?®Future?? is an effect of what you do now in the present. Therefore, everything you do adds up to your future. School education also enables you to socialize with peers by doing projects together, etc. Furthermore, learning at school is an experience to be educated in different techniques by different teachers. All of this contributes to the outcome of your life, your future.

- Eunice K

Thanks to my education, my future seems extremely clear. I know that as long as I stay the course and continue my learning process, I will have a great future. Because in America education and college degrees are of great value, I know that going to college and having a degree will be about as important to me in the future as a gold mine is to a miner. I have a family that always puts education first, and all of my teachers are just as encouraging. The future may not go as planned all the time, but the main point is clear; if I reap the benefits of my free, full education I will be able to easily land a decent job, and with college I will have a better chance at a job.

Though my own future may seem very definite to me, my country's future is awfully vague at this point. I know that there are many points that will affect the outcome of this great nation's fate. For one thing, there is the war in Iraq and our relationship with other countries. I also regard the presidents and officials as statesmen carrying the burden of the U.S.'s outcome on their hands with every bill they vote on an extra load. Another reason America's future is so foggy to me is that so many presidents and officials will change throughout time that with every different mind, there is little certainty about what choices they will make.

- Surbhi

What do our perspectives depend on?

Perspectives depend on many things. For example, perspectives depend on culture, your religious beliefs, your family, and what your surroundings are. Your perspectives are different from many people. If one was born in a family of gangsters, then they would be a really bad person when they grow up. On the other hand, if a person was raised in a family with people that are really stable and hardworking, then their future would be really good, since they would not be brought up being gangsters

-Allison

Our perspectives depend on what we believe in. In America it is a free country to what we believe in. Thus, if you believed that God created Earth then you are a Christian and no one is able to stop you from believing what you think is right. What people believe differs from one another and although they do differ, we do not fight and argue about which perspective is right or wrong. In the end, our perspectives depend on what we believe in, whether it's because of religion or school.

-Hanhe

My perspective of what I think comes from my family. For example, my family influenced me into thinking about how the world is a bad place. Everyday people die and make bad choices like drugs. My perspective of this world also comes from television because what I watch tells me some more bad or good things about what is happening to the people and what they do. My economy also affects my perspective because I think my economy has an environment with a unique idea of each place. I think many people's perspectives depend on their family and economy because it influences the individual.
