“All About Me” Speech

Your first presentation in your Themes in American Literature course is called “All About Me”. You are already an expert on the subject, since you get to speak about yourself! Listed below are 24 questions and topics. You will select five of them and discuss them in detail during your three-to-five minute presentation. 2. Describe your favorite family tradition.

3. How do you picture your life in 10 years?

4. Describe your biggest fear. What is the source of this fear?

5. Do you want to get married? Why or why not?

6. Describe your proudest accomplishment.

8. Describe your fondest memory.

9. If you won one million dollars, how would you spend it and why?

10. If you could live anywhere on this planet, where would you live? Why?

11. Describe your favorite movie. Why is this movie your favorite movie? Do you relate to one of the characters? If so, describe the similarities.

12.          Describe your favorite book. Why is this book your favorite book? How many times have you read the book?

13.           Describe your favorite song. Share and discuss the lyrics which mean the most to you. How do you relate to this song? Do you listen to this song when you are sad or happy?

14.          Do you have a family pet you consider to part of your family? Tell the class about your pet and share two of your favorite memories about your pet.

15.           If you could visit any three countries on the planet, which countries would you visit and why?

16.           If you could have any job or career, what would you do and why?

17.           If you could change one thing about the world in which we live, what would it be and why?

18.          Describe your relationship with your siblings. Do you wish the relationship could be different? If yes, discuss why.

19.          Describe your relationship with your parent(s). Do you wish the relationship could be different? If yes, discuss why.

20.           Describe your relationship with your best friend.

21.          Do you want to be a parent? If so, how are you going to be a good parent? How do you want to be seen by a partner or by members of your extended family?

22.          Are there any athletic goals you want to achieve, or do you want good health deep into old age? What steps are you going to take to achieve this?

23.           Is any part of your mindset holding you back? Is there any part of the way that you behave that upsets you? Describe why you continue to behave in this way if you recognize that you don’t like it.

24.          Do you want to achieve any artistic goals? If so, what are they?
