This guide has been designed to outline the technical requirements for the program, how to get connected to the ContactUS environment, how to connect your phone, and how to receive technical support.Environment RequirementsHome internet with speeds of at least 75MbpsComputer headset with microphone with a 3.5mmUSB is not supportedHome computer/Laptop This must be a full computer running Windows or LinuxTypes of computers that will NOT workChromebooksApple laptopsTabletsAll related computer components as needed such as:PowerKeyboardMouseMonitorAbility to plug home computer into home internetWiFi is not supported Quiet, private location in which to workSetting up your computer to connect to ContactUS***The instructions that follow are generic and may not work for your computer. Please be aware of the differences and refer to your computer manual for specific instructions on how to accomplish changing the boot order***Step 1The first thing you have to do is restart your computer and enter the BIOS. You can enter the BIOS by pressing a specific key when requested, it?s usually requested at the beginning of the computer?s boot, when the screen is still black. This key can be the SUP key or one of the functions keys (FX). In any case you’ll see a message such as Press FX to enter setup or something similar.If you are unable to catch the message, complete an internet search for your computer type and Boot Sequence. E.g. Dell Latitude Boot SequenceNOTE – THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE AND MAY NOT BE WHAT YOURS LOOKS LIKEStep 2Turn off your computer again. Turn on your computer and start pressing the previously mentioned key on your keyboard every second until you see the message “Entering System Setup” or something similarNOTE – THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE AND MAY NOT BE WHAT YOURS LOOKS LIKEStep 3Now that you are in the BIOS, find the boot order section. Note that there are not many options in a BIOS, so just go through every page if you must until you see something like First Boot Device, Boot Order, Boot Management, Boot Sequence, Advanced BIOS Features or Advanced Boot Options. In the below screenshot, it is under Advanced BIOS Features. Select the option to save your changes and exit the system menu.NOTE – THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE AND MAY NOT BE WHAT YOURS LOOKS LIKEStep 6Ensure your computer restarts. When it asks if you would like to boot from USB select Yes. ***The instructions above are generic and may not work for your computer. Please be aware of the differences and refer to your computer manual for specific instructions on how to accomplish changing the boot order***We have instructions that are more specific to most computer types at focus.work-from-home/Initial Set UpThe first time you boot using the USB drive you will need to perform additional configuration. This is only for the initial setup. After this is completed you will just need to ensure the USB is connected and restart your computer to boot from the USB drive going forward while working. Step 1When the system boots up you will be presented with a black screen. Ensure LIVE is highlighted and select enter.Step 2When the system boots up, a Stratodesk Welcome page will appear. If you are using Ethernet cable to connect to your internet, please skip to step 3. You may be presented with a wireless option. Wireless is not supported by ContactUS.Step 3Click on the Stratodesk Welcome page and click on Central Management,Step 4Fill out the following information Your ContactUS email address (orange circle) Your email address will be your username + @Your username will be provided to you prior to the start of trainingGroup assignment Key (red circle)ovjppd2vClient Host Name (yellow circle)Your username as provided by contactUS prior to the start of trainingStep 5Select finish and the welcome screen will close.
