HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR SALARY Certified Employees

The certified salary schedule is for employees working 190 days and is used as a reference for all certified employees (excluding Directors/Executive Directors, etc).

YRS = Employees years of experience teaching (Substitute teaching, student teaching, internships, and other non-teaching positions such as paraprofessionals do not count towards years of experience)

Base Salary ? determined on B or T level and education level (4/5/6/7) Certificate Levels B ? Provisional Certificates / no professional Georgia certificate T ? Professional Georgia Certificate Education Level completed by employee: 4 ? Bachelor's degree 5 ? Master's degree 6 ? Specialist degree 7 ? PhD degree

Local Supplement ? regardless of B or T, all teachers receive the corresponding 4/5/6/7 local supplement and years of experience that matches the base salary

Total annual salary = base salary (certificate level and years of experience) plus the corresponding local supplement Example: T5 with 10 years of verified experience = $49880 + $3504 = $53384.00

Calculating other contract days salaries (200/205/215/225/239 etc)

1) Base salary divided by 190 = Daily Rate 2) Daily rate multiplied by contract days = Base Salary 3) Base salary plus corresponding local supplement = Total Annual Salary

Local supplement amounts stay the same for all contract days

Example: 205 contract, T6, 7 years' experience

Base = $52366 / 190 = $275.61 daily rate x 205 days = $56500.16 + local supplement $3533 = $60,033.16 Total Annual Salary

Additional supplements for the actual position (does not include extra-curricular/athletics/etc) will be added to the Total Annual Salary.

Other supplements that are paid year round will be added and available on Employee Self Service. One-time supplements will be paid after they have been received and information will be on the pay stub.
