Skinfold Assignment
1. Complete skinfold form (Chapter 25.1 or 25.2).
2. Measure skinfolds at the following sites: chest, midaxillary, triceps, subscapular, abdominal, suprailium, thigh and calf. (Record repeat trials for each site until measurements are within 2 mm.)
3. Average the trials for each site.
4. 7-sites (Male or Female): Chest, Midaxillary, Triceps, Subscapular, Abdominal, Suprailium, Thigh
a. Determine the sum of seven skinfolds.
b. Calculate Body Density using the 7-site equation.
c. Calculate Percent Body Fat.
5. 4-sites (Male): Abdomen, Suprailium, Triceps, Thigh
a. Determine the sum of four skinfolds.
b. Calculate Percent Body Fat using the 4-site equation.
6. 4-sites (Female): Abdomen, Suprailium, Triceps, Thigh
a. Determine the sum of four skinfolds.
b. Calculate Body Density using the 4-site equation.
c. Calculate Percent Body Fat.
7. 3-sites (Male): Chest, Triceps, Subscapular
a. Determine the sum of three skinfolds.
b. Calculate Body Density using the 3-site equation.
c. Calculate Percent Body Fat.
8. 3-sites (Female): Triceps, Abdomen, Suprailium
a. Determine the sum of three skinfolds.
b. Calculate Body Density using the 3-site equation.
c. Calculate Percent Body Fat.
