How to remove a hyperlink:

WORD loves to automatically convert web links into hyperlinks. When it detects it automatically makes a hyperlink, turns the words blue and adds an underline. You don't want this in your citation. Here's how to solve the problem: When you add the period at the end of the citation, WORD will change your link into a hyperlink. Press CTRL then Z to tell WORD to Undo that action. You should then have a link with a period at the end and NO hyperlink. If you already have a hyperlink, this is how you get rid of it:

1. Click anywhere in the hyperlink

2. Click the RIGHT mouse button to display a menu 3. Select REMOVE HYPERLINK from that menu
